The best prof at bcit hands down. Not one prof comes close to how good jim is at teaching. Takes the time to learn everyone's names and cares a lot about his students. Jim for prime minister!!!

Jim is an amazing teacher. Hes very clear in his lectures and always happy to answer any questions that you have. His tests are very very fair and well made and his lecture notes are full of very useful information. He provides plenty of practice to ensure that you can do the best that you can do. By far one of the best professors at BCIT.

Comment:

Jim is the best instructor I have had for a Math course. Always comes to class prepared and on-time. His notes are very clean and concise. Come to class and do the exercises and surely it will help you pass or even get a 100% on the exams. He gives out stars to people who get a 100% on the exam if this does not convince you I don't know what else.

I failed the first 3431 midterm and he wrote me a kind note in the last page telling me not to give up. Passionate about the material and genuinely cares about students. Everything he teaches is useful -- I've passed several ELEX courses relying on what I learned from Jim's Math course. The ECET program is lucky to have him!

Jim is great. I don't think most people appreciate what he has done until they really need it. His lectures and notes are concise and clear. His exams are challenging and yet fair, his problem sets are finely tuned to make you learn, and he makes sure you have all of the materials you need. You couldn't ask for a better math teacher than Jim.

Everything you want in a teacher. Very organized, nice guy. Can explain things very well if you have questions. He puts lots of stuff online - handouts, problem sets, and solutions. He encourages you to attend, but respects that some students may not need to. No surprises in the exams and totally doable if you do your problem sets diligently. A+++.
