This guy doesn't really need another glowing review, but I can't help myself. I've taken a telecourse and an on-campus class with him. His lectures are brief and entertaining. His instructions are clear. He's very passionate about lit and his job. You get graded on completion and understanding, not on technicalities. He has terrible handwriting! :D

Love this guy! What can I say about Jim Wood... his slight Southern drawl makes him sound as though he steped out of The Adventures of Huck Finn. He is funny, intertaining and insiteful. First english teacher to challenge me. Taking him again!

Mr. Wood was a very easy teacher, but so boring! He gives really easy quizzes such as attendance, just show up and he'll give you a good grade. He gives out a lot of hand outs, just a heads up. He talks a lot. I believe he's from Virginia, so he's got a Virginian accent. He's very passionate about English. He's funny and he's nice.

Loved his class! He's always joking around, and treats you like an adult, not a student. His lectures tend to be a little boring, especially when he has a video to show, but he always let us out at least 15 minutes early. You should go to class every day, he usually gives you points for in-class work, and may assign something new.

He was clear on what the assignments were and what was expected of you in this telecourse class. Very fair in grading and had valued input on papers even though his handwriting was difficult to read If you turn in the papers on time, you will do just fine. The videos were somewhat outdated.

Switched from chem 140 to his chem 105 after it was too fast paced. chem 105 was very managable and enjoyable for me. homework was easily explained before hand and he gave an extra day for it to be due so students could ask questions

Goes at a crazy fast pace. Had to quit the class because i couldnt keep up with all the book work, online homework, labs, and studying for tests. high pressure, wouldnt recommend it. very stressful
