Comment:
This class was extremely boring because the professor lets students lead the discussion every time. She does not make sure that students stay on task and does not do a lecture of her own to explain the material. Her written assignments and grading is really easy and it is unclear how much she cares whether you participate in class. Very nice.

class content was repetitive but usually interesting, her accent was not difficult to understand at all. she is nice and understanding but you need to go to class and take notes to pass

Incredibly intelligent woman, her accent is not a big deal at all so don't listen to the other reviews. Have to be engaged with the topic but once you are, you'll learn a lot. Kind and eager to help if contacted.

She has a thick accent and often misunderstands what students are trying to say. There are two essays, but most of the grade comes from attendance, discussion, and participation. Easy and discussion-based.

Professor Park is a wonderful and helpful teacher. Some people have complained about her accent, but you will get use to it after, what, a day? The material she covers is difficult so definitely read and come to class to make sure your interpretation of the material is correct, particularly with Buddhism. Make the time to go to her office hours!

I am a international student but I thought the class was amazing, eventthough we cover difficult materials. She knows what she is talking about, and her lecture always makes scense at the end of the class.

beware that her forms of the sacred class and non western religions are THE SAME class. And if you think either will be about anything other than asian religions you are wrong. Not a bad teacher and knowledgable but seriously she is not a great English speaker...

A lot of reading, but worth it. A lot of assignments, but nothing to cry about. Very helpful during office hours. Grades easily and deadlines aren't so strict, but don't take advantage because she's not stupid. I'm taking her next semester.

Professor Park is overall a nice teacher. Definitely go to her office hours to get help before you start a paper or do your presentation. But the material gets really boring and when you discuss things in class she has a look on her face as if everything you're saying is wrong. Attendance is mandatory. Do the readings just to keep up.

Second time with this professor and she's great! Class is hard, she assigns too many textbooks, but in the end she is very helpful. Go to her office hours often to get help when you don't understand! She is very easy to get along with--very sweet! And she tries to understand everyone.

The most professional and efficient prof. at AU. Some topics are more interesting than others, but you will definately learn a lot. Extremely helpful if you talk to her about papers/material in office hours. I would take her again.

i'm usually very good with accents and hers is impossible to understand; this can be a problem when she is talking about words that you are not familiar with and don't know how to spell. She is very knowledgable but really not a great teacher, doesnt understand the questions we ask. tons of reading and attendance is mandatory.

Don't miss too many classes, and make sure to drop by her office hours. She tries to make the class interesting, but it still manages to be a bit dull. Easy A provided that you don't miss too many classes and sudo-pay attention. She claims she "doesn't believe in finals". Very nice lady, very passionate and knowledgable about her subject.

SO BORING. but an extremely easy grader. you have to write 2 papers, and no one really does worse than 18/20. for the final, we convinced her to let us write a 3 page paper. she is easily persuaded. just sit in the back and sleep.

You only have to write two papers for this class and take a final. There is also an in-class presentation which is a completion grade. She is a very easy grader. Make sure to visit her during her office hours t least once.

Park is a very nice, understanding, and flexible professor, and the class is an easy A if you don't make the mistake I did and miss too many classes. However, the class format is quite dull, even if you are extremely interested in Religion. If you are looking for a stimulating and challenging class, take Greenberg instead.

Very simple class, just read the text in order to participate in discussion. Writing the papers are not that hard and she is a very easy grader. Very nice lady who you can talk to easily. Sometimes hard to understand her accent. Class can be boring and if you are not interested in religions it could be even worse for you.

Comment:
Forms of the Sacred. Class format is boring, with students reviewing and then handing out sheets about last week's lecture. Takes a class that has interesting material and makes it difficult to sit through. 2 months into class and i still havent recieved a graded paper. 5 people fell asleep the other day.
