I had professor Mano both last semester and this semester. I will be taking her next semester as well. It will be her last semester teaching and I suggest if you haven't had the chance to take her, THEN DO IT! She's an amazing teacher originally from the U.K. so her accent adds to it all! lol. I lover her and I will miss her!!

this class is basically an in-depth version of what you learn in middle school about geography. easy stuff and Dr. Mano presents it in a way that is easy and even gives you little phrases to help you remember things. Helpful study guides that we review the class before a test, and the tests are really straightforward. TAKE HER.

Professor Mano is a sweetheart. She's very funny and approachable. The class is a little difficult and I found it very uninteresting but that's just my opinion. Hard tests but there is rarely ever homework.

Take her for physical geography! Only homework is textbook reading. She gives in depth notes that re-phrase what is in the textbook, and puts the notes on blackboard. She gives a few study guides for the test (in advance!) For the map quizzes, she gives you almost a month to study for them. She reviews notes a lot. Plus shes funny, nice & British!

This teacher has that incredibly hilarious British humor. She teaches very thoroughly and gives study guides so you know exactly what will be on the test. Study these word for word and you'll be fine.

She is a good teacher, however there is too much information for her teaching styles. the tests were WAY too hard, and very tricky. She did play favorites, but who cares. If you take this class know that it will NOT be an easy A.

This woman is crazy!!!! Really funny, easy class to sit through. The tests required some studying, or else they were really hard. I never saw her play favorites, and from what I hear, she is far easier than any of the other geo. professors. Homework was usually just reading the text book, but she would always repeat the info. in class.

She does play favorites.If you are one, it will be easier.Expects answers to be word for word from what she is thinking. Puts more pressure than necessary on you for exams which can make you do worse than you would have. Nit picky..yes.Exactness..yes. Kind of snippy when you ask questions,trying to be funny. Definately agree with the other comments concerning how she plays her favorites. Must have things her way or no way. Let's you know her opinion about a lot of stuff. She does host a rather fun end of the semester party at her house every semester and is a great cook. She is fair I have to say and gives you credit for what you put into the course.

There's no denying that she knows her stuff. I've taken 3 classes with her- very good. As an advisor, she could be better. I find that she has her favorites and encourages them. Everyone else doesn't matter. She's often times difficult to reach and finds e-mails annoying.

studied for a test for 5 hours and still got a C-. Her tests are rediculously hard, even if you ram the information into your head. lectures have no substance and she thinks you can learn the material from stupid review dittos that she doesnt even go over. avoid like the plague.

Professor Mano is hilarious. The class is boring but she at least tries to make it fun. Her accent is to die for. Her tests are tricky. She wants definitions word for word and diagrams. She gives lots of examples and gives homework to help bring up your grade. Her office is closet like and on the 3rd floor of Humanities. She likes when you visit!
