This class was really sad. Sad enough that it should be theft that students have to pay money to take it (and we are required to). Nothing was achieved whatsoever in this class. The lectures are just her mumbling the same thing over and over. This professor while kind hearted, just isn't fit to be teaching anymore. Very easy A, but a waste of time.

Professor Kellerman is extremely disorganized and very forgetful. Though intelligent, she gives very little instructions, and when she does give them, they aren't in an organized manner. She will give you a ton of handouts but not give you directions on when to read, what to take notes on, or even due date. Avoid her at all costs.

She's a very nice lady who was probably at one point a good professor. However, she's now mentally scattered and tends to lose student papers. She wants you to succeed and if you want to pass, she'll pass you, but her class lectures are disjointed since she has a TA write on the board for her (distracting me immensely).

Her class is disorganized but don't let that bother you. She is very knowledgeable about what she teachers and truly cares about her students. Attendance is a sign in sheet and your grade consists of 2 portfolios and a take home final. If you can get over the disorganization then she is a great professor. Ps-ask her about bob Dylan's birthday party

She cares about what she teaches. She has a party in her eyes. If you take her classes, you will become enlightened about the BEATNIK generation! She also went to Bob Dylan's birthday celebration one time, ask her about it ;)

Prof. Kellerman is just a poor soul. She's very sweet, and cares about her students. But I have no idea what she's even talking about half the time. The class is made up of 2 portfolios and a take home final. I had no idea what I was doing, yet got an A on P. 1. She is really disorganized, so always save your work. It's a boring, but easy class!

Assignments are 2 portfolios, take home final. Portfolios require lecture notes but many people left class after attendance. VERY DISORGANIZED. never responded emails urging to email Portfolio 2 and gave less than a week to do it amid finals. Emails are non-sensible, many errors Lectures are all over the place Overall extremely inconsiderate

Take this professor, but watch out for the ums and ahs because she's always thinking of something to add, that happens to send her syllabus into heaven should you ever like to visit the place.

You can't fail this class if you even attempt the portfolio. You can leave class after attendance, theres no homework, and 2 portfolios the entire semester on class notes and assigned reading you don't even have to read. She's really sweet and kind hearted, but her class is nonsense. Awesome GPA booster

More than halfway through the semester and she was still teaching the same thing she did day one. She's nice and she WON'T let you fail (literally let me turn in my "midterm" weeks after it was due), but she's BEYOND disorganized so make copies. Takes attendance verbally, takes up half the class time. An easy A if you don't mind endless rambling.

Certainly a throwback from the 60's. However she is probably one of the worst teachers I've ever had. Ever.

Had the same general opinion of Kellerman before I took this class. As the semester goes on she can get a little off-topic, but she's not ignorant of this. I suggest to anyone who is really interested in the subject to meet with her one-on-one at some point. She can be very engaging when speaking to casually or to a small class.

She is a very interesting person and professor. Joan is not crazy, but brilliant and unconventional! Her eccentric personality made American Satire fun. I learned a lot from talking with her about the subject. Joan provides her own interpretations related to her experiences. She is NEVER boring. She is also a compassionate and insightful lady.

She has good intentions, she wants to give everyone A's. It's nice to have a teacher like that but her class presented no challenge and her assignments didn't make much sense. Everything is extra credit and it takes her 30 minutes in class time to to take attendance. It's hard to follow what's going on in class and by the end you maybe confused.

Very helpful, funny, a very nice person. I did not think she was 'spaced out' at all. Her exuberance matches that of another energetic professor I had who is what I consider a gateway source into getting to enjoy learning as a way of life. She's very cool.

She had a few great moments where she caught my interest or made me laugh. Good person, but shes almost impossible to understand because she doesnt finish a single thought. Painfully boring because you cant keep up so you block her out instead, NOT organized, keep copies of your work - shell lose it, but go to class & look interested & youll be ok.

Professor Kellerman is a very nice woman and she's funny, but she is way too disoriented and disorganized to be a good professor. She doesn't actually teach anything, she always loses things, and her grading system makes no sense.
