Comment:

Dr. Miller is one of my favorite professors that I've had at the U. Unfortunately this is her last semester here, but she's a fantastic professor and really takes the time to make sure her lessons and expectations are clear. Works hard to make an intimidating subject feel more accessible and always willing to meet with you for extra help.

This class was not super hard, but I still learned what I went in to learn. I'm not sure how applicable/widely used the program we learned was. If you go to lecture and pay attention, she explains everything really well and you probably won't need the book. :) :) Very forgiving of stupid math errors.

Professor Miller is a fantastic instructor. She understands that not everyone is good at math and statistics, and caters to that perspective so all students can succeed. The assignments are tough, but they are straight-forward and you can get a lot of help from her outside of class. If you put in the effort, Miller will make sure you succeed.

The class is easy at first but becomes quite difficult. It is interesting and she teaches well, but I mostly relied in the TA for assistance. If you fall behind this class is very hard to catch up in.

I was dreading taking Q. Analysis the entire time I was at the U. Joanne made the class extremely accessible and it enabled me to excel in something that I was dreading and didn't feel I could do. I had taken a May term class with her a year or so prior, so I knew she was extremely clear and likeable. I had a great experience in both classes.

Really fun professor! Take her Political Propaganda class!!! It is super interesting and full of in class discussions. Her class is not hard, but you have to work to get an A. If you participate in class, she'll be easier on you when it comes to grading. She's an expert on the subject and respected nationwide. Great professor!

I took the Quanitative Analysis class with Miller. Going into it, she made it seem a lot more difficult than it would be. You don't need much background in statistics at all. 2 midterms and a final, plus an 8-10 page research paper make up most of the grade. Also grades 10 homework assignments relevant to coursework. Good teacher, boring material.

Professor Miller loves what she does and that really comes through in class. I took Propaganda with her and she absolutely loves the topic, it's more like a hobby than work for her. Take her if you get the chance, she is easily one of the top 5 best Poli Sci Professors at the U.

Best Professor I had at the University - hands down. She was so great I took two of her courses:Political Psychology of Mass Behavior AND Persuasion & Propaganda. Professor Miller really cares about her students and passionate about the subjects. I CANNOT RECOMMEND PROF MILLER HIGHLY ENOUGH! Take POL 3875H or POL 3766. You'll get hooked on Miller.

Low-stress night class; Miller is really cute, nice, and friendly. There's a lot of dry reading but it's not necessary to read to do well. Tests require memorization so it's really easy to get an A. The subject matter is really interesting as well.

Prof. Miller is the bomb. She is the best poli sci prof at the U. I enjoyed her class and the way she taught. She cared about her about her students and wanted everyone to embrace the material. The class was really easy and she made it that way to not stress people out. TAKE A CLASS WITH HER.... NOW!
