The tests are weighted heavily but are complete enigmas. The man is a mystery with a heavy accent, and his lectures are useless. He basically only teaches theory and rarely even writes numbers on the board and expects you to learn by trial by fire. He will never tell you the curve and even the TA's seemed to dislike him. Avoid at all costs.

I wanted to learn more about rigorous analysis. Denzler's class was one of the hardest classes I ever took, but I learned more than I ever have. He is hilarious and every time I asked a question, he dissected it and went deep until I was gone. The feedback he gives when you grill him is unbelievable. If you are willing to do the hard work, take him

Honors Calc. 3: Never made such a bad grade in my life. The homework was hard even if you had the solution right in front of you (which he provides afterwards) - I did one problem that was four full pages long. The tests were hard but part of that was due to my anxiety about them. Made cool connections to physics. Considered dropping. Avoid!

I got a 5 on the AP Calc BC exam and this is the hardest math class I have ever taken. Brutal homeworks and extremely hard tests, he teaches only theories and definitions, hard to understand him since he goes off topic a lot, does not review material Avoid this class like the plague

You can tell that he really loves his subject matter which makes him a compelling lecturer. Homework is long, but he understands that and will give help, feedback, and sample solutions. You will only get a lot out of his class if you really want to be there. Do not take as a gen ed, but for mathphysicsengineering majors he is a great professor.

He is a terrible teacher. He just wanders off and gives ridiculous examples. Homework are incredibly hard. Do not take him at all costs.

Contrary to other reviews, I found the lectures to be very clear. His homework assignments may be long, but they are meaningful and helped my understanding of the material. When you turn in your homework assignment, he gives you sample solutions, which is really nice because you can instantly know what was right. I enjoyed the class.

Do NOT take him. I am an excellent student, 3.96 GPA and this course is the lowest grade I've gotten so far. His tests are ridiculous, he will NOT give you a reasonable idea of what will be covered on them and he does NOT show his TA's the material either, so they just have to guess what to tell you to study! It's a joke!

If you care about your grade and are not very proficient in calculus II already, do not take this teacher. His teaches strictly in theory. Grade is made of 4 tests (15% each), hw (15%), and final (25%). He gives 4 written homework assignments, which are very difficult. Other hw is given through WA. Tests are very hard. Seems like a nice guy though.

Not much to say here, other thn "avoid at all costs." He is a great guy, loves math, and wants students to succeed, which sounds nice. However, he is extremely hard to communicate with (not because of his accent, he is hard to follow at all times) and his tests are far from reasonable. Class average on the last test before the curve was ~35%.

If you don't have much a math background I do not recommend taking him, his lectures are very confusing and I had to teach myself pretty much the whole class. The written homeworks are hard and the web assign is a drag. He's a great guy but he teaches all over the place and is very confusing

Do not take this professor's class. He is very hard to understand. I often find myself get very lost because he makes things that are so simple so sophisticated. He also takes about two weeks to grade a 5 question test. If you are as anxious as I normally am to get instant results back after a test you would avoid Mr. Denzler at all cost.

His homework and tests can be kind of brutal, but he's really nice and funny and willing to help you if you are having difficulties. If you need help with his homework, just ask and he'll give you a hint.

Great professor. He really knew the material, and you could tell from how he taught. Very enthusiastic and extremely helpful if approached. Tests aren't bad, just make sure to study what he tells you to. He liked to go into the applications of the class, making it more interesting.

Extremely nice, it killed him for the course to not be entirely self contained, so he often got very off topic. Homework was difficult at best but he accepted it late and gave hints if you talked to him.

Wouldn't recommend. Takes a while to get used to his accent and does one or two examples in class that aren't clear. Got honors cal 1 credit from AP and still couldn't learn from his teaching methods. Only grades were tests and those were impossible. Curves somewhat but not enought. Try hard to find someone different.

great guy, but I can't say as much for his teaching style. I learned the material and how it worked which was nice, but the class was horribly disorganized and you never knew what subject would be next. The homework was very challenging but also incredibly interesting.indecisive notation for integrals proved to be a problem
