Very, very arrogant to Geog grad students that he did not advise and were out of his subject area. Refused to acknowledge me even in the hallway as a PhD student! Stuck around the dept. far too long and offered very little. Very old school and stuffy and only favored students studying his subjects

The guy is great, has a dry sense of humour. The one drawback is the subject matter, which is interesting only to some. I agree with the fact that too much focus is on the past, but overall I love this prof, he's one of my nicer ones.

I enjoyed his lectures. The course material and assigned reading were good. I enjoyed listenging to him lecture. Pace is relaxed. There is a lot of hostility towards his but I really don't know why. Some interesting stories and anecdotes. I would take more courses with him.

Makes Mr. Rogers look exciting! Although smart, Galloway is boring and monotonous. Course focused too much on past historic agriculutre leaving little time to concentrate on modern issues, which were crammed at end of year. Get over skinless potatoes!
