Dr. Wagman is a caring man willing to help his students. He's knowledgeable about what he's teaching and shows a lot of visuals on his lectures concerning Ancient Egypt. If you're not a history person you will get bored, but other than that the class is very easy. He posts his lecture slides on canvas, make sure to take notes to study for quizzes.

Very knowledgeable guy. Plus he's pretty attractive. Didn't need or use the textbook to pass. Just show up to class and take notes and make sure you know the terms and people on the practice quizzes.

The class is easy. As long as you show up, listen to the lecture, and read the textbook, you'll be fine. Only takes attendance for quizzes and tests. He even gives you practice quizzes that are literally the same thing as the actual quiz. Also has extra credit opportunities. Really amazing, loved having him.

This professor isn't the most upbeat lecturer, but he is in a studio. He needs more passion. He gives decent discussion assignments and if you want to learn about Egypt, you can definitely learn a lot. Unfortunately (for a student who wants to make effort), this professor (like other online teachers) uses quizlet to make his quizzes.

He does have an accent, but you can understand him. Its a midterm final (each 35% of grade) and 6 quizzes (lowest quiz dropped). Every quiz has practice quiz and questions are recycled from previous quizzes so it really isn't hard to get an A in the class if you study a little. Textbook is optional and good for really understanding.

He is a pretty good professor. Has a bit of an accent but not to hard to understand, (I believe he is Italian). Tests are straightforward and not too difficult. Never used the book. Just go to class and take notes and you will be fine. Consists of 2 exams and 4 quizzes.

Extremely interesting class! You don't need the textbooks if you attend class everyday. Everything you need is in his lectures. He's very funny and it's a pretty easy A if you study a little.

Good class to take. It's pretty easy but you WILL need to study if you want an A. He does a great job for such a big class. The textbooks are cheap but I never used mine just take notes in class and study them and you'll be fine. He screwed up on his answer key so go to his office hours and review you quizzes cause your grade will rise 5%-10%.

Good teacher and interesting class. Not hard as long as you go to class and take notes. The Phi notes help. Sit near the front or you can't hear him. Always has mic problems..

Do not take him if your class is in Carlton aud. he is already hard to understand and it gets worse when he is using a mic. couldnt find phi notes. workload is easily doable. go to class because test has stuff from book and class.

He is a great teacher! The class was a lot of fun and his accent does make everything funnier. He is NOT hard to understand, you may just have to pay a little more attention than you would a normal person. Go to class and take notes and you should be golden!

He laughs at his own jokes and has an accent that makes him sound like dracula. He shows powerpoints every day and seems to babble a lot, at first. He gives you a list online of pages you should read every day before class, but really every thing he says in his lectures are what are on the exams and quizes (every friday). Good luck!

He does have an accent, but it is not too hard to understand. The class was really interesting and you have to memorize hieroglyphics. He does make jokes sometimes and he is very knowledgeable in the subject.

His accent makes everything he says funnier. Not a difficult class, but like some reviewers have noted, you must realize that you're going to be cramming trivia into your head, so it can be a bit tricky. Gives sample tests, but good luck figuring out what's gonna be on the quizzes.

Even with prior interest, Dr. Wagman added humorous anecdotes and jokes to try and liven up the class. He knows when the material is dry and does his best to work through it as fast as possible. Very easy if you attend lectures, especially since his questions are often verbatum of what he said in lecture.

Wagman's accent is pretty much the most interesting thing about the course. Only take Ancient Egypt if you're good at memorizing random facts and hyieroglyphics. The class got pretty boring and since there's 4 quizzes and only 2 test you need to make sure you do well on all of them! the course wasn't as easy as I expected...

Good prof. little hard to understand the accent but the notes you get from the slides are good enough to avoid using the book at all. you don't need the phi notes if you actually go to class. They're full of misspelled words and the same stuff from the slides. the tests are a little difficult & nit-picky but just study the notes any you'll do fine.
