Professor Hayob is a really nice/helpful and passionate professor. Her exams aren't really difficult as long as you review class presentations, and take good notes. if you don't understand something she's super approachable and always seems happy to help out. if you want to pass, be sure that you're always attending class as well.

Lectures are clear but monotone. Material is not difficult but she puts "all of the above/ none of the above" for most multiple choice questions and it confuses students. Tests are difficult with most students receiving low Cs. Labs are easy and help grade. Not much work outside of class. Very nice professor. She loves geology & majors

Out of all the professors ive had, Doctor Hayob has impacted my life the most by inspiring me to switch my major from business to science. She is passionate about course content and makes it interesting. Go to class, take notes and study for tests! She can tell which students put their best foot forward and your grade will reflect that.

Well respected professor, yes the class is hard, but she is willing to help you during office hours, and from day one it is known what she expects in her classes. I struggled with the exams, but was able to make my grade up by doing well on the labs.

Professor Hayob is a nice lady and VERY passionate about rocks but her class is extremely hard for the non major I found myself getting A's in labs but failing quizzes and barely getting C's on tests I take A LOT of notes and study A LOT but I find myself struggling for a C in the class.

She's an awesome person! But I really couldn't click with her. She and I think completely opposite so it was hard following her in lectures. I had to continually re-teach myself what she had taught in class. She teaches the bare minimum and expects you to understand the underlining for the tests.

Honestly, this class was extremely difficult. Professor Hayob is not the best at explaining topics. She is very passionate about this class which I admire but its almost impossible to get help and she's EXTREMELY specific on what she wants for answers in labs and she grades super tough. She wasn't the nicest in answering simple questions.

DO NOT TAKE HER! Her tests are impossible. I read the book, take notes in class, make flash cards, have only missed 2 lectures all semester, and I get tutored 2-3 times a week for this class. Still failing, and I came to this school with an academic scholarship so no, I am not stupid. Worst professor I have experienced, take anyone but her

This class is all about memorization and you better really really like rocks. The tests are very hard and she's not super clear on what to expect. You WILL spend a lot of time on weekends going in and doing labs. I will say though that she is very nice and extremely smart.

Tests and quizzes are very difficult. I'm an A/B student, I was struggling to get an C. Hayob is nice and approachable. Absolutely is a hard rocker (loves Geology). But her classes are boring and there is a mass amount of material that has to be learned. Does have a sense of humor though.

Dr Hayob (pronounced Hebb) is really sweet and very passionate about what she does. She can be quite awkward, but I think it's great, and her tangents create a personal connection. She expects very specific and detailed answers on tests, so study like crazy. Labs are fun if you like the stuff :)

This is by far the hardest class I took as a freshman. She is a nice woman, very energetic and a bit awkward, but she only gives you a few grades and her tests are not easy and you only have your notes and the book to study from. HARD CLASS, marginal professor.

I love this professor, she is very passionate about geology, approachable and a total sweetheart. She uses detailed and clear power points, if you go to class and take good notes you will do well.
