Jo Dee is an amazing person and professor. She grades extremely hard but does want you to succeed. If you can not handle constructive criticism don't take her. I loved her as a professor and person. I feel that she made be become a better Social Worker.

Jo Dee is a wonderful professor! She is so knowledgable about social work and so willing to share her knowledge to her students. She is available whenever you need her. Utilizes class time well - welcomes class discussion. She is good at settling turmoil in the social work department. Awesome Professor! I would recommend her to anyone! :)

Honors Seminar on Substance Abuse - Team-teaching with Dr. Mallory (Biology). Very good class and Gottlieb added a lot to the completeness of the class. Sometimes the social aspects went without detailed explanation (as compared to biological), but was always ready to answer questions. The class needed more grade feedback, but overall excellent.

Jo Dee is so helpful to the social work students. She is such a great asset to the program. She teaches relevant topics, and gives great examples. She does have essay questions on some tests, but they are basically straight from the study guides. Do the work, come to class, and participate in class discussions, and you will do great!
