Such a funny, personable, and excellent professor. He will not move on if the class is confused. I would absolutely take his class again and highly recommend him and would not listen to the poor reviews about him. He really was one of the best professors I have ever had.

The professor is very good at teaching Math. He is very knowledgeable. He is also very strict. The grade 100% is on 5 tests. Participation doesn't count on grading, but if you miss a class, it's hard to understand the next class because a lot of time the chapters are related. Tests are not that difficult, but it's always some tricky in the test

As long as you are ready and willing to earn a good grade, Joe is the best at teaching what you need to know to pass any math class. He really connects with the students and his positive vibe creates a fun environment to catch and keep your attention while learning. If you are taking math, I extremely reccomend this professor over any of the others

Comment:

Professor Karnowski is a great professor. As with all things you get out of his class what you put into it. If you come to class on time, put your phone in your bag, take diligent notes, and seek tutoring when needed, you'll do well. If in Calc II you're slowing class down with questions about algebra, he'll rib you about it. Use it to grow.

Dear individuals, If you are reading this right now, I highly suggest you not take this professor for Pre-Calc and beyond due to the fact that Joe does not deliver the information vividly in a way for students to grasp the content. His communication skills, presentations and lack of humor made me less fond about being present in his class.

I took this class with a terrible professor and literally thought I was going to fail at life. I decided to retake the class with a different professor and thank God I chose Joe! He is one of the nicest and most engaging teachers I have had here in 3 years! The professors offered for this subject are terrible, but this professor is a God send!!!

Very sarcastic, so if you are sensitive I advise you to move along to another Precalc teacher. He saw that I was struggling and reached out for help. Definitely commit to the work, I did not and didn't get the grade I wanted. I know thought if I did I would have gotten an A. Do all the homework and pay attention, you'll do great.

I took this course in the summer. He is awful, condescending (especially when students ask for help and is unwilling to explain). I retook this course with someone who was actually kind and helpful and my grade improved drastically

Joe's math presentations were clear. If I didn't understand he'd quickly explain again. He had time slot 4 his student beforeafter class. He doesn't put up with lazy students who don't show up for class and don't do their homeworkstudies. After all, NCC is trying to prepare students for a 4 year college. I took 3 Joe's math classes - loved them

I took pre calc last semester with this professor and failed, and hated the teacher. Turns out that the problem was...ME!!! I'm retaking it this spring and have an A average. Is this class easy? No. It's precalc. If you do the homework, and go to recitations, you'll do well. If you actually try, joe notices and will go out of his way to help

not a bad guy but his sarcasm gets old real quick. rude at times. he explains things clear initially but if you ask questions after he will make you feel dumb. his reviews are easy but his test are nothing like them 5 times harder. -biggest problem. i needed the course and had to drop it. thought i really was getting it until the test came!

He was probably the worst math teacher I have ever had. His lectures went way to fast, and he skipped steps all the time, so I never knew what he was talking about. If you are not a math genius, then don't take his course. If you do take his course, then read ahead of time in the book so that you can know what he is talking about in the lecture.
