Mr. McGinn is an excellent prof. He really makes sure you understand the txt. Saying "lets just stop right there, that might have been alot to take in". Then he will recap. We learned about the gold showers in plato's era. Take his course, easy and fun. Oh and I think I sat next to a guy with a hunchback and he liked him too.

Class can be boring at times, the kid beside me and I would talk and play a game on who was closest with guessing the time, but the class is easy, the exams can be tricky especially the mulitiple choice part, the eassy part was cake! Hes a good guy and a good professor though! I'd take him again!

He starts off by saying it's easy. But when it breaks down: each test question is approximately 1% of your grade, and if you don't talk about utter bull crap during class you will not receive participation points and will get a low grade. But he thinks a 70% even if you attended all classes is fair(it's not), so make sure you talk about anything.

easy b/c he's clear. you have to work, but it's the fun kind of work. definitely take him. he's easy going and he facilitates discussions that are interesting, fair and balanced.

Okay, I had to take Philosophy back in 94 and had this guy. What a great guy and teacher. I thought I would hate the class, but this guy actually made philosophy, dare I say it, interesting!!! Great to see Joe is still around. Take him, easy A.
