I really like this professor. He is a bit eccentric, but he's not a mean person as one other individual commented. Dr. Stanford was one of my favourite professors from Palomar College.

If you are looking for an Easy A, this clas is not for you. There is a lot of info to absorb and a lot of work to turn in. But, if you are willing to make the effort and are interested in music, Dr. Stanford is a good professor. He knows his stuff and makes goofy jokes. He expects a lot, but he's fair.

I accompanied a vocal skills class for him and now I'm taking the chorale. I have a lot of fun. He's not the best musican, and sometimes he can get impatient but if you can learn to look past those things, I think he's a good teacher.

Extremely insulting to the student. When I stated that I didn't understand him he said that children understand. He appears to only be teaching as a means for employment. When informed of a problem and confusion, he didn't seem to care. This is the first class that I have ever dropped. Teachers are supposed to want to teach, not dislike it.

Read everything in the sylubus then watch the appropriate videos, assignments are video instructed, and you are required to do some concert attendence. I never opened the book, but got a B. Is very helpful and reasonable on all things, just email him at the first sign of trouble and misunderstanding. A jolly laidback guy who cares about ur success
