HORRIBLE professor. He doesn't teach anything in lectures, but somehow happens to talk the entire time. His exams do not at all reflect what his slides say. A lot of the statistics used on the exams are outdated, so if you google an answer or try to learn on your own, your new stats are considered wrong on the test. He ruined my 4.0 GPA as a senior

You have to do research with Ralph in order to understand how smart this man is. His knowledge and understanding of the Universe is admirable. I have the deepest respect for him. He is a very cool guy. You have to be good in math and physics to understand his graduate level course material. :)

He is an expert in his field, and clearly has been for some time. However, he is not a very effective lecturer; minutes felt like hours in this boring class. And worst of all, the boring, repeitive tropes of his in-class lectures (and even reviews) had little to do with what was on the test.

He's the typification of someone who's an expert in his field, but not really a teacher. Your performance is determined by how much work you're willing to put into understanding the material on your own. If you're like me, taking your last GEC with a litany of other commitments, his class probably isn't your best choice.

He is a very wise man who may not be the most explicit teacher, but you can definitely learn a lot from him. He discovered the Wilkes Land crater which caused the Permian Triassic Extinction, and he talks about it in class, but he is so humble that he doesn't even mention who discovered it or how it was discovered!

Amazingly Smart Man! He has a very monotone voice and can be tough to follow sometimes but he is really fair. Our first test this quarter was out of 50, he then dropped 2 questions because nobody got them right and then curved it so an A was 33/48. Labs are unstructured but easy. If you go to class there is no reason not to get atleast a B+
