WOW!!! Not only a top 1% professor but an absolutely wonderful man. His classes are challenging yet inspiring. They should put his picture beside the word "teacher" in the dictionary. There can be no doubt that he has deserved every Clemson University, State and National award that he has ever won. DO NOT miss the opportunity to take his class.

This was the rudest man I've have ever had. I know a lot of people like him. That is fine but my father died and I missed two of his classes. When I told him and showed him a letter from student services explaning why i missed. he said "why are you telling me this? I don't care about you or your family."

Personally, I was never a fan of probability. Nevertheless, Dr. Brawley is a fantastic teacher who will keep your interest. I highly recommend this instructor to any math ed. major - seriously.

Extremely energetic. Loves what he teaches. He will give you example after example if you need it. He's a bit over enthusiastic at times believing that you should "feel math in your soul" but other than that, he's an effective teacher with clear guidelines and really great with help.

brawley told us he never taught this class before and i believe it. he's a nice guy but dayum he cannot teach. i pulled a B out of my izzass on the final. p.s. (somethings wrong when you have more trouble in this class than in Accounting 201)

Joel is a fantastic teacher. Very engaging, active listener. This class was very informative, even after taking an introductory course such as MTHSC 311. Helped with my understanding of several key concepts in ECE 872 and 845.

one of the best professors at clemson but not an easy A. very clear about tests and homeworks. very helpful and wants you to understand. he loves to teach and this is obvious. keeps lectures interesting and upbeat. if you have the chance to take a class with him, its DEFINITELY worth it.
