Prof. Glasser is old school, classically trained and a GOLD MINE of knowledge. The man knows more about poetry than my English professor! He has a great sense of humor, but no tolerance for slackers! Do the work and put forth your best effort, and you'll be fine. He respects considered opinions from students even if they differ from his.Great Prof!

Glasser is amazing. A lot of people hate him because he doesn't accept wishy-washy stuff about the books he teaches from. He wants you to "see the object as in itself it really is", not discuss a bunch of "what-ifs". Do the reading and prepare intelligent things to bring up in class. I've taken two classes with him now.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. I'm finishing up my junior year, and I decided to take him for "The Bardic Voice in Three Ancient Epics" for my honors seminar. He teaches a seminar by talking constantly (no discussion at all). He makes statements that are clearly false, and has to be constantly corrected by members of the class. I woul

In a SEMINAR class where we discuss Homer's works, all we do is sit and listen to him ramble on about the same things over and over. Has basically told us that he knows everything. Maybe better in other classes, but definitely not this one.

Seemed sweet at first, but CRAZY, lol. He taught for 3 weeks--6 classes!--that Elizabeth B Browning wrote Porphyria's Lover. 6 classes we discussed this. What more is there to say?

Dr. Glasser is a really cool professor. I am going to take my third class with him next semester. As long as you keep up with the readings (which are mostly enjoyable) and come to class, there is no way to get below a B. Take his classes, he is awesome.
