Nicely prepared slides. Slides are enough to pass the theory part of exam. Prior knowledge of good programming is required. Clear grading criteria for the project. One can achieve full in projects. Marking for the written exam is questionable.

Well prepared lectures and project. Nice slides. Tests are a bit difficult if you don't know programming at all. Project is challenging. To pass it the key is to join a team who are really good at Java programming. Unfortunately I am the one whom people are looking for and I wrote 14,000 lines of code to help the team pass. A really tired semester.

Comment:
Can be a little bit monotone during lectures but don't confuse that with bad teaching. I strongly recommend attending the lectures and trying to listen to him even though it can be hard at times. Hard and long midterm but if you fail it you can still get a decent grade if you practice coding with the project and for the programming final.

Course is difficult , prof is OK . Clear grading scheme in the Game he will give but marking of mid term and finals is questionable . Harsh in exams.

He is a tough grader and he just look at his power points in the class and read them, you won't miss a thing if you don't go to class. the project needs a lot of work and time. his tutors and markers are the worst , they know nothing about c++ you should read book in this course to learn

He clearly specifies what he requires in project. If you can work hard for project work i.e coding then GO AHEAD !

In many, many years on university benches, litteraly have never seen someone that bad at teaching. It's a bit sad, he clearly means well, but he spends the whole class looking straight at his overpacked power points, pointing at overlapping box of codes with his laser. No other visual aid. No interaction. In-sane amount of work, and brutal grader.

Comment:
Project based course, usually game. He presents a lot of content in class which makes classes really boring and not very appealing. The class material is good for studying. Grading is clear which is pretty rare in this field. Could: 1 - demand/supervise smaller projects as well; 2 - take project management out of the scope of the project

Dr. Paquet is a nice professor. He even goes out of limits to help you with the project. I had a decent course with him and he explains everything clearly if you have the patience to listen.

He may not be a good researcher, but he is defiantly a good teacher. Very restrict to projects, which in my opinion is a good thing to push you learn.

Paquet is a good professor overall. He's available after class to answer questions, spends a lot of time making sure we understand the assignment and group project requirements, and is a fair grader. Devote one or two hours a week to going over the notes and coding, and you should do fine. Don't be afraid to ask questions or for clarification.

Comment:
In the class he is only reading the powerpoint presentations. Class really boring unless students are challanging him. Not sure how the student is evaluating and if asked about that the professor ignores the request completely. Personally asked for details regarding my mark and was treated as "indolent" and that after many requests...Avoid him.

Comment:
The class is most of the time chaotic. He ignores completely any emails sent to him, he's not in the office on his schedule, he cannot be reached to answer questions. If you ask him details about some things in the class he's lost unable to respond... The exams are ridiculous, about things that are neither explained in the class nor mentioned forex
