For Unix, he hands out a sheet with the C/Unix function prototypes that you can use on the test. It isn't a study guide but it will help. If you don't understand him, the man pages help a lot. Just write the commands that he talks about in class and then browse the internet on how to use them. Book was VERY useful but not required.

Davis drove me nuts to no end in this class. Personally he is very nice and respectful, but he treated this summer data structure class like a joke. No preparation whatsoever, lectures were full of randoms thoughts and unprepared examples that took up too long and ended nowhere. So disappointed since 3358 is so important.

Took this as a summer class. I'd already had data structures at another college and got an A. Pretty much learned the same stuff here. No book, no slides. Take notes. He spent a whole day on fancy Loonix commands and another on random numbers. Both of which of course weren't on the test. Don't take this guy.

Prof. Davis has such a wide breadth of knowledge about CS - He's helpful and fair; he makes sure that you learn the material. His tests seem easier than the homework/lab assignments.

Comment:
graphics class is very hard but informative. Great lecturer, but not a great teacher. Treat the graphics class as a math class and not a CS class this make the class easyer to pass. His test are alwas a mistery you never know what the will put on his_test
