Comment:
Jo teaches chem in an accessible way and is very forgiving with grading (her B and C range is enormous), so if you just need chem as a prereq, would recommend. Her tests are pretty tough, but they're fair.

Jo Crane is a chem god. She doesn't fly through material and spends a good amount of time on what she wants you to know. Always uin office hours and genuinely wants her kids to succeed. If you don't like chemistry or you're not the best, TAKE CRANES CLASS. She will make you like chemistry.

Jo Crane is life. Her lectures are clear and educational, and she goes over everything multiple times. I almost always understand everything the first time she explains it. Even if you hate and suck at chemistry, she will make it doable for you. I love chemistry, and Jo a big part of the reason why.

Not what everyone made her out to be. She is available for office hours upon request but her notes are confusing and she spends time on really elementary concepts and skims over difficult concepts. Attendance is not taken but she makes mental notes and has favorites, which if you are not one is to your disadvantage.

Jo is the best! She's so cute and funny. She obviously really enjoys chemistry and teaching the class. Tests can be hard, but she lets you drop your lowest score. She is really helpful in class, always willing to answer questions, and is never boring

Jo is amazing. I looked forward to her class every day. She is funny, clear, organized, helpful, and interesting. I thought I was going to be overwhelmed by inorganic as a junior, but when I left, I was sad the class was over. She's definitely difficult, but I learned the material well.

She's very enthusiastic and excited about what she does. She paces the class so that you cover a lot of material each day. There is never a slow day although she will review a little of what we studied the day before at the beginning of class. She's funny and will tell you stories about her family which will make you crack up. She's great.
