Yes, she is very intimidating. Yes, she can be hostile. The reality is that she is extremely intelligent and loves debate. She will prepare you for the type of professors you may see later in your academic life if you plan on graduate or law school. I thought I would hate her, the end result was I learned a lot and respected her.

I began the semester absolutely terrified of this woman but was obsessed with her by the end. She can be extremely intimidating but doesn't realize it. There is a lot of reading, but I did it all(which is wierd)because I honestly wanted to be involved in discussion. She is brilliant and really pushes you to think. Take her class if you have time

Great teacher. Really accessible because she wants you to do well in her class. She assigns a decent ammount of reading, but the entire class is discussion based, so she essentially breaks down the readings for you.

This women is the crazy. She piles on reading after reading in this course, goes on rants about her own radical beliefs and education, complains that she is not making enough money, cancels class on a whim, and when you are not able to attend one class out of the semester she docs you big points.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. The fact that she's received low scores speaks volumes about the pathetic intellectual environment at this school. She assigns terrific reading you might easily otherwise miss, and tries hard to challange the way you think of history.

Fernandez is the worst professor I've ever had at this institution. She demonstrates no teaching ability or capacity to conduct discussions. Her unreasonable course load makes it impossible to keep up with or understand her long winded and self-serving lectures.

The ABSOLUTE worst teacher EVER. Literally spent 75% of the class teaching material other than AMERICAN history. Very opinionated and not personable. NEVER EVER EVER take a class with this horror of a teacher. w/o question, worst teacher at Trinity

Worst teacher ever. Requires ridiculous amounts of reading and never learns the students names. Asks extremely broad questions and demands one word answers. Said, "Eastern Europe is of course connected to Europe."

She knows her stuff very well, and presents them in the class brilliantly. I wish her classes never got over. Her lectures are fascinting, and are windows to our recent past. The Best professor in recent US History.

The predator is the worst professor I have ever had at Trinity. She almost always kept us 5-15 minutes after class, and her lectures were extemoraneous at best.

She is a hard professor, but worth it! She has strong opinions based on her knowladge of the topic. There is TONS of reading that enriches the course if you can get through it. She is great, and I will surely take more of her courses!.
