AMAZING PROFESSOR! This is the best class I've taken at Clark so far (I'm a senior). You have to do the readings and he makes you participate. He also does attendance during every class so try not to miss more than 2 classes. But overall, there are no tests or quizzes, just a few papers that aren't hard to do. 10/10 would recommend!

Very well respected and has a ton of experience in education field. He creates meaningful dialogue in class and expects participation, and pushes you to think critically. Definitely going to take more classes with him. Not very accessible via email, very old school with technology.

A Professor who keeps you interested in Education and engages you with stories that HE has lived. His knowledge of the course material and resources he brings to the table are great. We were able to discuss so many great topics. If you're into controversial topics in Education and talking about solutions...this class is for you!

He is so smart and a great professor! I really got a lot out of this class and he allows you to see the inequalities of the school system. Even though this class is 3 hours, I look forward to going every time.

Very wise, opinionated man. He likes people who have confidence and encourages students to talk about their ideas and opinions. He does a great job of articulating the complexities of urban schooling and I think anyone could learn a lot from him, not just about schools but about society and the world as well.

A wonderful introduction into the college experience. Though the class is once a week for 3 hours straight its the class I look forward to most! The work is not difficult to complete but it makes you think. Its easy to see how those who are used to jumping through hoops for a grade would find this easy. This class is truly what you make of it!

Took a Grad course from him at Worcester State. Unbelievably intelligent. Very interesting to listen to and learned a ton from him. He simply "gets it". I could see not enjoying him if you are conservative politically. His ideas do open people's eyes though.
