Thoughtful, interesting and engaging lectures. Engineering Ethics is completely Reading & Writing based. Readings are due for every class from several pages to over 20 pages. Be sure to do all readings as you will need it for discussion, essays, and exams. Prof Ripley value the quality of writings a lot. Give your best work or you get a bad grade.

Best English teacher I have ever had. Class somehow felt like Philosophy, and English mixed together, doesn't give you busywork, and when you write about something most of the time you pick the topic, so you're never writing about something that doesn't interest you, I wrote Erotic Stories towards the end of the class he is okay with any paper.

Great teacher. Not much work, interesting classes (debates and stuff), very nice guy. It's clear he lives for this stuff. Also I got on his good side somehow and he basically let me coast. I hate English, but this guy made it pretty okay. Highly recommend.
