Comment:
Anderson is a nice man. He just has a lot of scrambled lectures, a lot of it can be a bit confusing. He takes a while to grade and when he does its just a "place holder grade" meaning if you ask to redo it, he will let you. It was definitely an interesting class but I think the people in my class made it more enjoyable.

Great guy. Really nice. Visit him after class and that will help a ton. Tremendously understanding. Raise your hand and do the homework and you'll do just fine.

John is a knowledgeable and caring professor. His thoughts can be scattered and instructions unclear but in the end of the day extremely helpful. If you give his class a chance it can impact you in ways you never would have thought. He places a lot of attention in each of his students and pushes them to be better.

Just when you think John Anderson is simply an old-fashioned professor, he pulls out ideas or recites a monologue that truly shows how liberal and fascinating, respectively, he is. As others have said, put forth the work and be vocal in class and you'll do well. He wants to hear what you're thinking.

John Anderson has thus far been one of my favorite professors. He enjoys enthusiasm and creativity, and if you put in the time and effort, your grade WILL reflect that.

John Anderson's a good teacher and very knowledgeable in the subject, but his lectures tend to be somewhat dry and he gives regular attendance/reading quizzes.

I've had John Anderson for an oral interp class and a honors level Perfomance class and he was the best, smart and challenging without being an ****.

I had him back when he ran the Honors department, then also for a performance art class. John is a true academic, extremely intelligent, and always helpful to his students. He was a supportive mentor throughout my time at Emerson, and an engaging challenging mentor. And if I swung that way, I might hit on him when he was doing his Henry James impersonation.

John is a nice guy, and his Oral Pres. class is fun, but it isn't what you expect. There is lots of memorization and acting. It is more of a non-acting major acting class, and in that sense it is good. He does as a lot of you, but he seems flexible and nice. Overall, a good experience.

Very nice man. This class is more of an acting class so be aware of that (and you're taped so you can write self critiques.). Pieces were very interesting.

the a+d- thing's true but i still got an A. the class was really painful at first, but by the end i really liked it. John's a good but boring guy. He doesn't make the class boring though. if good people are in your class you will be fine.besides, its easy

He was flexible about performances and chose some interesting pieces for us to do. The self critiques and occasional partner paper were fine. Easy easy course, I'd suggest it.
