Comment:
Taking Professor Anthony's class seemed to be one of the biggest mistakes I made this past semester. He seemed to have little knowledge on his own subject he was teaching us and often read to us from the textbook. It was very hard to stay awake in class and even will myself to show up for it twice a week (he doesn't take attendance).

Comment:
He is extremely overrated. People think he is charming, but he knows very to little about the class subject, laughs at his own jokes no one else thinks is funny, and knows nearly nothing about the school itself. If he is your faculty advisor i reccomend that you switch asap and unless you plan on studying organ, dont ask him for advice.

He is the funniest professor I have ever had. He makes jokes all class and makes awkward silences amusing. He is so understanding. I don't like learning about music all that much but i LOVE his class.

He is the man. I would recommend this class for sure. He is an odd character but very funny. The most understanding and caring professor I have had. As for the class, it is very easy if you have any bit of music background. The tests are very easy. An easy A

One of my most (personally) beloved teachers at Conn. He's funny, caring, dedicated and super-sympathetic to lazy students. But above all, his lectures and just great!!!

A great teacher. He's a little "out there", but who isn't at Conn? A great pianist. He's willing to arrange for private lessons for anyone in his class. Very laid back. The most enjoyable class I took during my college years.

He doesn't care about his students, he doesn't show up on time, and he disregards students' schedules. And he rants about the dumbest things. Avoid the professor if you can!

John Anthony is a true virtuoso at the piano and organ, and an instructor who is willing to give private lessons to even the most inexperienced of students.
