John is a wonderful teacher. The way he narrates the bible made taking a biblical Lit class not so boring. There is not an extreme amount of Homework, make sure you do, because there is a lot of in class discussions. He is very clear about how he expects the assignments to be done. Super easy class.

Augustine is a fantastic professor. He has a wonderful grasp of what he's teaching, and makes the literature much more interesting than it first appears. His assignments could be a bit difficult for those who have trouble with analytical writing, but overall his class was very easy. I actually went in every day wanting to take notes~

He is very passionate about the subject and a nice guy. He likes feedback during class discussions BUT your grade is counted by just three tests which are very difficult to understand what he wants and what he wants, I still don't know.

He likes everything that guys say--they all have really interesting points to him..but if for group discussion the boys and girls sit separately then the girls are obviously straight out of middle school. The assignments are really clear though. He grades a little too harshly for my taste.

Took his class in Fall of 2005, I actually would have liked being in his class than in the one I'm in now. Very insightful professor. While he is very opinionated, he'll agree with some various opinions as long as it's pertaining closely to what he's trying to get across. I also took his ENG 254 fiction writing class and he is pretty much the same teacher. He's extremely insightful to a young fiction writer like myself.

I personally love any type of english/writing classes, and I always do well in them. But this class is unreal, the teacher makes you feel like an idiot, and will criticize most of your work. You will not get a good grade unless you have the exact opinion as him.

This class is interesting. The Prof has some good insights, as most professors do and should, but he DOES have a kind of tunnel vision when it comes to opinion and given topics. Very opinionated, and not really open to others' thoughts unless he can change those thoughts. Some say he is "mean" but thats just those who cant take some criticism. He makes you think about the answer you give, and doesnt let you rest with your first answer unless it is well thought out first.
