I took the 8wk class; found it very frustrating that he doesn't use BB or powerpoint. It wouldn't have been a big deal but when he writes his notes on the board it's very scattered and includes symbols or concepts that are hard to put into words. Tests do not seem to match lectures. Only had 3 grading opportunites. Take any extra credit offered!

Honestly, hes an okay professor. His class is straight forward, full of lectures, and strange jokes. He gives you questions to study for the tests and is fair when grading them. He has horrible hand writing but everything is in the book so youre good man.

Took this class my first year of college and it was not my favorite but given Im a polisci major I didnt mind the content. The professor is very caring and super kind hes not mean at all, just has difficult lectures but test are easy to pass as long as you take detailed notes and read the text!

Not a hard class, the professor is just very confusing and all over the place. He writes his lectures on a white board which you probably won't be able to read. But don't worry you also can't understand him because of his accent. Ans even if you do he only says things once so if you miss it your done.

Genuinely the most boring and unbearable class I've ever taken. His accent is thick and his notes are written on a white board and almost impossible to read. You can't get the book online because he basically put it together himself, so you have to pay $100 in the book store for it. I dread coming to this class.

Although most reviews do not favor Prof Avorh, he is an excellent instructor. If you have problems with his class go back to high school, you are obviously not ready for an actual college course and to be treated as an adult. To do well, you have to try. He is straight forward and easy going, but won't tolerate the childish behavior.

I enjoyed Prof. Avorth lecture style. If you actually pay attention, he's hilarious. Get ready to take notes because his lectures are all based on the text, his explanation (w/ thick accent), and jotted down on the whiteboard in a scratchy manner using mostly key words and pictures. Your grade is mostly from tests but some extra credit is offered.

Very unclear, disjointed lectures that are very Difficult to follow. Handwriting is subpar, difficult to read. When asked questions, rarely answer the question that was asked, instead covers a different subject. Pre test review is a list of what to study, which is not representative of what will be on the test.

I have to say that I've learned A LOT in this class. However, you really have to write down what he says, his lectures on the white board are very unorganized, and the expensive text book? I haven't even read it after the first test. The tests are multiple choice and writing, but the multiple choice questions are almost impossible to understand. :(

Everything this guy says does not make sense at all because he is all over the place. You will have fun teaching yourself only to realize that all of it is pointless when the tests has multiple questions not covered in the textbook and lectures. He probably has never revised his tests because there are many grammatical errors which make it hard.

His lectures are confusing and unorganized. When he "reviews" for the test it doesn't help at all, we spend about 5-10 mins reviewing! He made the students come to a class session before the final to "review," not only was he late but class was 5 mins long! Many things on the test are not covered in his expensive $300 books or confusing lectures.

His lectures are absolutely crazy and unorganized. He puts nothing online and so you can only study off of what you've written (usually illegible) and what's in the book (which hardly makes sense). Only things he grades are the big tests (they're terribly hard) that HE DOESN'T GIVE STUDY GUIDES FOR. I should have dropped, my mistake.

This is probably one the most difficult classes I've ever had to deal with. We started with 30 students and at the end of the semester we were down to 7! The tests are ridiculously hard because of the grammatical errors and the fact that there are multiple questions not covered in the textbook or in the lectures at all. Stay away from this class!

There is no homework. Your entire grade is based on tests. He hands out outlines at the beginning of each section covered which are very straight forward. As long as you follow the lecture with the outline he provides you will be golden.. just hope you don't have a bunch of people asking redundant questions and wasting everyones time.

Took this class because it was my major. After taking this class I have now changed my major. He has horrible handwriting skills, hard to understand, and your grade is completely based on test. The test are completely based on his lectures which is hard to take if you cannot understand what he is saying.

I'm a political science major. About to earn my degree and transfer. Professor Avorh rushes through his class. He will enter, lecture, and leave -- that simple. You are given 4 tests, the english is very broken, and the answers don't make a lot of sense. Your 4 grades are kept on scratch paper. I was scored over 15% below what I got on a test.

I was worried about taking this class because of the reviews but the reviews are a complete lie! His board work isn't the best but it's far from being the worst. I'm not a genius so believe me when I say you have to be dumber than an ogre to fail this class, though if you want a good grade like any other class you have to work for it.

Where do I start?? You can hardly understand him because he has an accent. He lectures the entire time and you WILL NOT be able to read his whiteboard notes. Horrible! That was the worse part. Don't you dare be late or you will be locked out. He will call you out in the middle of class if he feels you are not paying attention. too much to list. NO!
