When I first took this class I thought I was gonna have a bad time. Boy was I WRONG! This guy is pretty cool! About 8 500 word easy and easy reading responses. He's pretty strict on attendance and tardy though. DONT BE LATE TO CLASS!! His stories and comments are waaay better than his jokes :)

I loved this teacher.. he tried to keep us entertained at the time teach us what we need to know.. as long as you turn in your essays you will pass. There are no tests or quizzes!! Easy A if you do the work!!! Highly recommed!!!

such an AMAZING teacher...i learned so much in his class and i actually stayed awake. Hes really funny and easy to talk too. Dont listen to other people i'm telling you from a slackers point of veiw that hes the teacher to take it you want an A or B...

I was an English major, he made me want to change to something else. Was neither helpful, nor kind. Has an old fashioned taste in writing and sticks to it. Not very open-minded. This class so painfully horrible I ended up withdrawing. By the way, the jokes really are very lame.

i Love his syllabus is very striaght forward. you should go to class everyday because he explains alot about what he wants in each essay. he also checks outline for most of the essays and will give you feedback on the spot on what the essay will maybe missing.his comments on the essay can also be easliy read. so you understand your faults.

He's a good teacher. You will learn how to become a better writter. He will tell you exactly what he wants. Nothing is ever a surprise, he follows the syllabus perfectly. Don't miss a class, he takes off points on your final grade..including tardies. All your essays are based on personal experience except one. Not a hard class,but not an easy "A"

Good teacher. Grades fairly light. Sticks to Syllabus. Reading assignments are easy and he explains them in class. Always animated. Wants students to learn. Knows his stuff. You can write simple because he does not care about big words and complicated issues.

Jacobs is an exquisite professor. He only gives two tests. He did give a lot of writing assignments, but Comp 1 is a Gordon Rule Class. I would rather have several short writing assignments of 500 words then only three of 2,000. He really likes students to express themselves, and to write about personal experiences. This is an amazing teacher!

Awful instructor. Condescending and rude. He's not a very apt speller either. Though he recommends his students have a dictionary, I think he never picked his up. He tells stupid jokes at the beginning of class....Avoid this one.

When I took him I was a Duall Enrollment Student and overall he was OKAY. He gives A LOT A LOT of writing assignments and there is A LOT of reading that needs to get done for the "reading responses". However, there should be no surprise on when things are due b/c he gives out a syllabus at the beginning of day ONE and sticks to it all semester.

he is as real good teacher. i went in thinking i was not a writer at all and walked out feeling more confident. i would recommend him to anyone. one thing, do not come late or miss his classes, he does not like that. He is fair with his grades.

He grade kind of unfair. I am very good in english and i didn't make 1 A in his class. He tires to be funny , and sometimes he is. If you are a good writer then you will make an A in his class, If not then you will get a B. And you have to writed 6000 words befor the semester is over.

Mr. Jocobs is really nice and very easy to understand. All of his work is easy and he is very flexable about it. I would consider taking his class if you really want to learn something.
