This class was really cool and john knows a lot. He sometimes can get a little boring while talking, but is always available to clarify. He will sometimes test you int he morning about last nights readings. Test are really difficult. Any homework is usually ok to be pushed back. Really understanding of deadlines.

He's a very nice guy, but his lectures are boring. Always ready to help, which is great seeing as both Linux and QGIS were buggy the whole semester. He's a genius with computers, but he's just not the greatest at giving lectures. Tests are hard.

john is a great guy. has a sort of dry humor- which i enjoy. he knows his stuff and does a great job explaining it. there's a big work load but you get plenty of time to get it done.. both he and the ta are extremely helpful with questions too.

tests were impossible in both classes (adv web & 210), but he was VERY helpful in all aspects of the course; his door was always open. very knowledgeable in all fields. you will be challenged, but if you give a good effort, you will be rewarded.

Okay, so his tests are awful. I don't think anyone ever finishes them. His Problem Sets are hellacious, but cool when you get them to work. He makes you do stuff that one might actually want on a webpage. I hate debugging JavaScript, but he'll help if you can't figure it out. The side discussions are always funny.
