John Bartelt was one of- if not THE- most inspirational, caring, kind, and intelligent teachers I've had. He and his wife and partner Linda run an amazing class that has taught so many valuable and amazing lessons. I would absolutely 100% recommend this class to anyone ready to learn more about themselves and others.

John & Linda are the platinum standard for profs. Kindest and most caring professors imaginable, safe, respectful, and judgement-free space. I cannot imagine this course without them. M+F perspectives were gold. Teaching method is unlike any other. Lifetime impact. The world needs more great profs like J&L!

I thought I knew it all but hadnt scratched the surface. This course made me feel comfortable in my own body. I can finally love myself now. So thankful for the safe space where I could be my free self. Ill always remember these great professors. Changed me for the way better. Best experience of my life.

Its all true. These guys are AMAZING! I cant recommend them enough, for any class, but especially for Human Sexuality. Whatever you think you know, theyll spin it around backwards and then enrich you with even more. Itd be a better world if theyd taught everyone in it.

Honestly the best professor I think I will ever have. The class itself is very informative and you really will learn so much that you will use for the rest of your life. he co-teaches with Linda (his wife) and they bounce off each other and work extremely well. I don't think it's possible to not love him or the class.

I recommend this class to everyone, even if you are not an education major, take this class, and take it with John and Linda. You will have an eye opening experience and have fun doing it. Attendance and participation is 20% of your grade, so show up and participate in class discussions. Do your assignments at least a B, put in more effortA!

Had John many years ago, now going for my doctorate, just saw the article about him being rated #23 in the world, and had to cheer and affirm that. Best and most inspirational teacher I've ever had, still feeling his positive effects throughout my life and work. Unbelievably powerful teacher and role model. Thanks John!

There when I needed them! I had personal issues unrelated to school, and reached out to J&L for help, they were like the most caring parents ever. Gave me personal support, referred me to all the right services, and followed up. There are there for you!

Way way WAY more than just a class. A life lesson. It'll turn you inside out and change your life, all in a good way. I can only hope to be a teacher who is as loving and as positively influential as these two people. Take a class from them!! Oh and stick with it. It's hard to look at yourself and your world at first but it turns great.

WOW. Super-heavy evenings. Absolutely safe environment. Everyone shared deeply and genuinely. We became a tight-knit family. Everyone has a story, and they all matter. Learned SO much, not just from John and Linda but from everyone else too. These guys are the perfect teacher role models. Wish I had them every term. Love, love love this class!

Feel alone? Disconnected? Unworthy? Take this class! I don't know how they do it, but John & Linda turn the class into group therapy sessions where you not only learn SO much about yourself but are unconditionally loved by everyone in the class family for exactly who you are. Hard emotional work but the best thing you'll ever do. I LOVE THEM!!!

John and Linda will break your brain with all the thinking youll need to do in their class (not much homework but hugely challenging nonetheless). Bonus: underneath all that enlightenment are two amazing human beings who serve as parents to those of us who werent raised with the love we needed to grow strong. Mister Rogers would be proud.
