Great guy. Passionate about the subject and cares deeply about his students. Reading could be a bit much - usually 50-100 or so pages a night - but grading was fair and as long as you participate and put some genuine effort into the final paper you will do well. I strongly recommend taking this professor.

good guy, he means well but comes off pretty boring. ask him any question and he'll do more than enough to help you out. tell you everything you need to know for tests and papers in class, but you'll probably have already fallen asleep before you hear them. easy enough class just try not to take him early in the morning!

really really nice guy - loves theology but can't seem to get students very interested. extremely easy - no hw, just two papers and midterm, final. knows a lot about the subject, just no one seems to care. will help with anything though!

people say Betz is easy... and the class part is- just sit there and listen to his crazy religious rambings BUT he does not like to give out A's. To him, an 80 is a good grade. take him and you will be bored to death AND get a B for it.
