I had this class at 8am, but despite that being a drag Professor Krieg made it awesome. I never skipped lectures, but I imagine it would be hard to pass if you don't show up to class (even though he doesn't count attendance for points). I don't enjoy economics and this was a difficult class for me but Professor Krieg is great.

Perhaps my favorite prof I've had at WWU. Entertaining dude, entertaining lectures, and great at judging class comprehension. That being said, Econ470 requires a lot of work and his HW/exams are no joke (however there is a curve). Enjoys engaging the class, but understands if a student doesn't know the answer. Great guy!

Krieg is by far one of the best professors in the econ department. He has a gift for teaching econometrics at the undergraduate level. His enthusiasm for the subject truly did motivate me to go beyond the course material and develop a deeper understanding of statistics. That being said, this was the hardest class I've ever taken. Not for the lazy.

Krieg can think of a solid answer to almost any question you have. When you ask, he can explain his answers in a way that you will understand. Sometimes during his lectures, he can be a little formula heavy- but if you stop and ask a question, you can get the material. He is very good at engaging the class in his lecture.

This lectures are great & easy to understand. However, his homework & exams are pretty HARD. Homework was 10% (5 assignment). Midterm are 40%. Final are 50%. There is not much you can do to get your grade up. But he does curve his Exams. So I guess. Study hard!!

I am now in my third course taught by Dr. Krieg. He is so far the best professor all around I have had at Western: he is very clear and paces well, very friendly and helpful, but yet shapes his evaluations to truly test your comprehension of the material on a basic level. Regurgitation is not an option in his classes. Love this guy.

This is hardest class at Western, but you'll love it. I promise. Krieg does a great job presenting the material and has a good idea of how his students are doing in it. I really enjoyed this class, but it was the most difficult I've ever had. Get ready to read and re-read the papers and study hard. The tests are ridiculous.

Really good teacher. If you have questions he can explain things to you in a way you will understand. Has interesting lectures. Be warned though he curves the tests for a reason, they are quite hard. You will need to put a lot of time into studying for his classes.

Class was extremely hard for me, but much of the class did pretty well. Krieg is really nice and a great lecturer, curve given on exams can only be described as "life-saving." Take good notes and give his assignments a lot of time, and you'll be fine.

Great professor. Still have rapport with him even though I'm not an econ major. Didn't buy the textbook, just learned by fire (homework) and did the practice tests.. Not hard if you grasp the (elementary) statistics used.
