I have had Dr. Blake for Intro to IENG, Stats, Simulation and Healthcare and he was my project supervisor for Project in Industry. He does try to "weed" people out at first but if you show him you are willing to work hard he will help you out. I also learned a lot from him.

Had Blake for two courses, he goes through the material too fast. Seemed to use one student to make an example of, to the others. Not a bad guy but I didn't like his teaching style.

Dr.Blake challenges you and makes you work for your mark, but he's always very fair and gives you what you deserve. He is very organized and knows his stuff, but watch out because his notes tend to have mistakes. He's good to go for extra help and he's the type of prof that tries to get to you know. Great prof overall!

John Blake is a pompous teacher who puts on a fascade of being helpful. He isn't a professor I would count on for help. He mentioned to my class its his responsibility to weed out the class. I my opinion its his responsibility to teach us propoperly so we will not be weeded out.

I had Dr. Blake for 4 courses, teaches some of the toughest courses in the Ieng program, but is well organized, and gets his message across. You will learn a lot from him. Tough case studies, but great for the course. Always willing to listen, or help.

Had him for 3 courses now. Good guy, most organised prof I've ever had. The work's tough, and his case studies are legendary, but they don't hand out engineering degrees on street corners, so you just sack up and get it done.

Make a little note to yourself.... John Blake is one tough nut to crack. But once you get past that tough exterior, there is an angel inside Dr. Blake just waiting to hug you. Excellent prof, tons of work.
