Dr. John Bullion is the best professor at Mizzou, he is so knowledgable about what he teaches and loves teaches his students as much as he loves learning new things from us. He is a older man, but as sharp as could be.

Super cute old guy. Not too hard, study guides before every test- USE THEM. Reading all of the assignments isn't necessary because of the study guides. A lot depends on your TA, mine was not very helpful. Class is not mandatory, but extra credit was given numerous times when attendance was low.

Comment:

Dr. Bullion is so sweet and actually does care about his students. Lectures can be boring and it's hard to take notes sometimes. There's also a LOT of reading for this class. Before tests he gives out a study guide that tells you exactly what will be on the test though so that's really helpful. This class isn't easy but it's not too bad.

GO TO CLASS. It's hard to take notes, but he gives you study guides that will tell you exactly whats on the test. The tests are all essays, so its a little time consuming, but if you know what's on the study guide, you'll get an easy A

Dr.Bullion really knows what he's talking about. Very entraining at times although sometimes he talks about the same subjects over and over again. Gave a lot of "required" readings but I never read the books and did just fine on the exams. TAs go over everything from the class and their quizzes are really easy. Take this class for an easy A.

This class requires a lot of useless reading. If you learn from visuals or powerpoints or anything non-verbal, do not take this class. I do no hear a word he says in class because he just stands there and talks about random things. Alright class. 75% of your final grade will be 3 exams or 2 exams and a paper.

Pay attention to what this man says in lectures. Incorporating his lecture into the exams (they're all essay exams) is a good way to boost your grade on the test. You'll spend more time going over material with a TA. He's not a bad teacher at all, but he is old and stands still during lecture. It is very easy to fall asleep. Do all readings!

Dr. Bullion is a nice guy and he has avery easy class. You need to go to class just so you can hear his opinions, because the essays you write come from what he says. The books are not really important and he will say everything in class that you should have read. Quizzes in TA classes are easy and TA's tell you what is going to be on the test

i loved this professor, who else could actually make a semester on lbj enjoyable- and incredibly interesting. i loved his 'story-telling' class format. he really is a huge wealth of knowledge!!

Prof. Bullion was amazing. He gave you the questions that would be on the test. He was really interesting and could always get the class to laugh. I was hesitant about all the reading, but they really aren't that bad and they are very interesting considering its History. Great teacher

He does know what he is talking about but he is boring as hell! My class is a lecture class and I want to fall asleep all the time. He does not have structure to his lectures, he just talks about his knowledge. But the plus is that he'll give you a study guide that really helps prepare for the test.
