Hardest class I have ever had, very rude, very mean, I did learn a lot writing-wise, I applied this writing to other classes and received A'S BUT got D's on every paper in this class which made no sense to me, do not take this class unless you're looking for a challenge

Extraordinary teacher who cares deeply for his students and his course. He opened my eyes and made me see things not only about myself but about the world. He gave me a new vision about the nature of and the worth of my education. He made me proud of my school. His intellectual range is amazing. I felt I was being taught by Socrates or Hitchcock

This man was by far one of the hardest professors I have had. He gave you tons of work which was very difficult. He is not clear at all in class and babbles on a lot. I went to a few tutors to get help in this class many times. I suggest to not take this course with him. I did not enjoy the class at all and it would be a waste of your money.

Great teacher! The homework and quizzes are pretty easy, but he is pretty tough grader when it comes to papers. The discussions held in class are interesting and enjoyable. However, some of his expectations are a little unclear, but he is willing to answer questions anyone might have.

Honestly, I could not stand this man. Listening to him talk was awful. His objectives are not clear, and he is pretentious. As a lover of film I was excited about this class, but dealing with him ruined it.

I would advise to stay away from this professor. He grading is hard and at times doesnt make a whole lot of sense. He was stubborn and even when you would point out a mistake he made in grading something he wouldnt change it. He really wasn't that nice. Find a diff professor.

This man is a great teacher. He can ramble on a bit at times, but if you ever need clarity you can ask and he'll give it. To do well in his class you just have to show you put in the effort.

Jack was a great teacher. He always made himself available to his students. I enjoyed his teaching, even though he tends to repeat himself sometimes. I would highly recommend this class. I learned much from him, and would definitely take another class with him if I ever have the opportunity.

His class was probably the worst I have ever taken. I think I came out more confused about english than I was before. He will talk on and on about unimportant things and treats the class like a group of ten year olds. It's horribly uncomfortable and awkward. AVOID!

His class "discussions" are 10% the class asking questions and 90% him going on and on. Classes consist of going over essays we read for homework and endlessly disecting the writing assignments. The writing assignments are very specific and take a lot of thought. He is a pretty tough grader, but does allow you to make corrections for credit.

I like Jack Chebowitz. I had him for college writing. Hes a very nice guy and knows his english. Hes a little bit of a hard grader, but he treats students like they are smart. he doesn't talk down to you, he just helps. good teacher. a little hard but hey its college
