Mike is only meant for certain students. He can come off as aggressive, but it's really just him being eccentric and enthusiastic. Easy to email outside of class. Prepare for a hefty workload. But he usually grades effort and creativity. Pay attention in class and be interested and he will notice. If you slack off, he's not forgiving.

I like him. Extremely knowledgeable, and always /eventually/ gets his points across. He can be boring but more often the class material is pretty interesting. He assigns a TON of work and not always can the class keep up with his expectations. In conference, he's wide open to ideas and will do his best to help you get something worthwhile done.

Definitely a great guy. Teaches a computer science class with the interest of those who are not techies. Very helpful and clear in his instructions. Class sometimes strays from main topic, but that's the best part!

Googling the Telecosm was as goofy as its name sounds. Mike Siff is one of those professors who is always saying things that just make the class crack up. You'll learn stuff, too, but he's probably not the best professor for someone who has no sense of humor and just wants to get a ton of knowledge out of their semester.

I didn't not originally want to take a computer programming class, but had to due to bad luck with the course selection process.He's a great guy and was very helpful outside of class (because i was sooo confused).As a teacher though i felt he rushed through the material and didn't explain enough. he's amusing, but i usually left class very confused

This guy saved my life. Helped me change my focus with less than two years to go, taking 5 CS courses in my last three semesters. Is a geek? Hell yeah! That's what they pay him the big bucks for. He loves this stuff and it's contagious.
