This class was okay. Was required for my major. It was SO long, not his fault though. He really didn't teach much so you have to be pretty well versed in art going into the class. Sometimes it seemed like he was an easy grader but other times he seemed strict on that. Overall a good professor because of how relaxed class is.

I thought he was incredibly helpful. I think the problem that people have with this class is time management. There are a lot of very time consuming projects, but there are not specific due dates on the projects. He doesn't want to rush you and have your work suffer because of it. He is willing to do whatever you need to help you succeed.

Helpful, understanding, chill, eager to teach, encouraging... My only critique: it bothered me that he often suggested buying extra stuff (electric eraser, fancy paper, matboard, different pencil sharpener, etc.) when I'd already spent $600 on the kits for his class and interior design and barely used some of the supplies.

He knows what he's doing, and he's a great guy with some dry humor. He's fun to talk to and a bit talkative. He makes this class more fun than I thought it would be.

It's true that he's an artist, but i've found that if you ask him questions, he can better clarify assignments and techniques that he's presented. He really knows what he's talking about, he just doesn't always say things in the best way, but who does?
