Pock this! horrible teacher! a lot of homerwork, he never explained anything,his lab sections were horrible and hard, you could barely hear his lecture. Well dont take this class unless you need to. I really feel bad for all the students who had to take this class i bet more than 3/4 of the class failed.

The material shouldn't be hard, but since Elwin sucks at explaining it was. He skips steps leaving you confused. Then the examples in the book also skip steps. So how are you supposed to learn anything? I wish as a bio major I would have just taken math 150 because they have a lot of good professors for that class.

Elwin is one of the worst teachers I've ever had. Don't take this course, you'll regret it. Lectures are a joke, he never does examples. Tests are too long, homeworks too long and all busy work. I did not learn a thing in this course. The only reason I wasn't totally lost was I took calculus in high school.

Honestly I feel bad for any 121 students because you have to take Elwin, he is the only TA. He is the most confusing teacher I've had, he skips the small steps that are extremely crucial in the problems and he stops in the middle of one problem then jumps to another. He doesn't even say what kind of problem he is doing before he does it.

He honestly just confused me every time I went to lecture so I stopped attending. He starts off on a problem then skips to another one right in the middle and then goes back to it. He never ever shows the little steps that are the most crucial. Sorry to any MATH121 students because he is the only teacher. Luckily Aaron is an amazing TA.

I got an A & I only went to his lectures 5 times! He mostly reviews the homework assignment on WebWork (or something similar) or goes off on a tangent. Nothing too helpful. My tip: Buy the book and thoroughly READ IT! It's optional, but it helped way more than lectures. If you really want to go to lectures, sit in the front. He doesn't use a mic.

Really nice guy! He was always very helpfull and made sure that everyone was understanding the material. I don't think i could have asked for a better teacher! I only wish he could teach all of my math classes...take him if you ever have the chance!

Great teacher, one of the best I've had. This class is exactly what I want from a math class. I wish that all teachers were this capable. Very helpful and nice. I would take any class that he was teaching. Very clear expectations and good lectures.

He is always willing to help students and tries hard to have everyone succeed and learn in his class. His exams are predictable. He usually solves problems in lecture before the exam. Attendance is not mandatory but it's good to attend the lecture. Follow his web homeworks and labs then it's not difficult to get a good grade. He is a nice teacher.

Professor Elwin is very nice teacher. It's sometimes hard to understand what he teaches, but he'll be glad to explain his examples again as long as you ask him to. Go to class everyday and don't stress too much on the homework (because the homework is way harder than the tests). As long as you try to do the homework, you'll do great on the tests.

Elwin is DA MAN!!! hes a big hippie who wears sandals with socks. hes great,end of story. the class is hard though but how is calc not going to be. its not that bad though just depends on how little or and ok amount u study. take care. take elwin.

Boring lecture, but a pretty cool guy. He is kind of relaxed on the assignments, if you ask him if you can turn it in a couple days after, he'll say it's OK. Just make sure you document everything he says to like give you extra points or something, because he'll tell you one thing then the next week, he'll say he never said it.

He's alright. He was willing to help, you just had to ask. It is hard to pay attention and understand in lectures, and sometimes he confuses himself. Todd was a great TA and helped more than anything else. and definately always do the homework probs.
