taking this class was one of my biggest mistakes. Few people told me he was a helpful professor, and how misinformed I was. He treats his students like they're in highschool, and makes it very unclear what topics will be on the test. Do yourself a favor and don't take this class.

Taking this class was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I heard from other people that this teacher was helpful and offered plenty of extra credit, and how misinformed I was. He offers little to know help, and he makes it very unclear what's going to be on tests. He treats his students like they're highschoolers. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.

if you are planning to take this class, don't. This guy goes out of his way to make his students fail. He provides little to no help, and expects you to pass his FREE RESPONSE tests without giving you any sources to study with. It would be good if he taught better instead of using a large portion of the class talking about old cars and hobbies.

Ennis made history interesting, I always looked forward to his class. I wish I needed to take modern history because I really enjoyed his lectures & I learned so much(use flashcards/a lot to remember) There is about 3 test and quizzes. If you take good notes (everything is from powerpoints) you will do fine. He is a really great professor!

Ennis is an outstanding professor in the summer; however, in the longer semesters, he tends to ramble more and neglect to give you hints about which questions will be on tests. He's hilarious and passionate about what he teaches, but he is more diligent in his summer classes. You'll need your textbook only to refine your answers to test questions

Professor Ennis is an ok professor. If you skip class you won't pass. There are about 4 or 5 quizzes following the tests. He goes off PowerPoints so take notes, you do not need the textbook. If you don't study hard you will not pass, the quizes and test's are not multiple choice. Recommend taking

He honestly makes you love learning about Hisotry with all the analogies he makes. I was afraid of this class being boring, but it was in fact the opposite. He offers extra credit which is amazing and his sense of humor keeps the class engaged during the lectures. I would definitely recommend take him for a history class at Grossmont!

Mr. Ennis can be very funny sometimes but he also makes fun of students. He talks a lot about his personal life. This class is an easy A if you really pay attention or read the slides. You don't need the book at all even if he says you do. Take advantage of his extra credit events, they're 10 pts each and super easy.

Mr. Ennis is a great teacher I would take his class any day. You won't need the book at all, all the slides are online. Take advantage of the extra credit it's super easy. Make sure to study for the tests as there is no study guide but just study each chapter and the major events in that chapter and you'll do fine. Don't be late.

This class was a joke and the joke was on me any my parents for paying to take this class at all. If you care about antique cars and all sorts of personal stuff that interests this guy then you might love this class. If you care about history and actually learning something useful, you're in the wrong class.

He is very clear on what he expects from his students. This semester there were several tests and of course a few "pop' quizzes . He does offer extra credit so take advantage of his opportunities and also be sure to ask questions if you are unclear! He really know his history and you can tell he is passionate about teaching! Great class!

Professor Ennis truly knows his history. He takes a different approach to teaching a normally info heavy subject by making it connect to you personally. He gives 3 tests and 2 quizzes all semester with no essays, although his tests are all written instead of multiple choice. ATTENDANCE IS ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY, AND DON'T YOU DARE BE LATE TO CLASS.

Mr. Ennis is one of the funniest teachers I've had. He is also very passionate about history, and it shows. Three exams, and as many as three quizzes. The quizzes use short-answer questions, where as you'll need to be more detailed and thorough in your exam answers. He repeats himself rather often during his lectures, but he explains material well.

Great for High School style, not college students, HATES QUESTIONS, lectures well, HOPES students will drop, makes up excuses to drop. not bad, but one can do better, he is there to hear himself speak and comes off angry all of the time and uninterested in students. seems very agitated and hostile

He doesn't give you clear answers whether it be on material being learned or other questions such as "how many questions are on this test". He's grouchy when people ask him things and generally doesn't want any classroom discussion. Sometimes he gets off topic but when he does a great job lecturing on the material.
