Extremely helpful. You will benefit a lot from the class by going to his office and clarify any doubts you have.

Good teacher. Great format to class... clear, logical thought process behind order of subject matter as presented. Nice guy. Makes himself laugh in class - this guy obviously loves math.

he's willing to help, but its difficult to say that just because he's helpful he's a good teacher. could spend more time on examples and not teaching straight from the book.

Faulkner is always willing to help. And loves people to ask questions. He goes through material at a comfortable pace but you will always find a curveball on the test. (thats not necessarily a BAD thing)

I love math but Faulkner is so boring and confusing. It's hard to stay focused but he takes attendance, just read the book. He is willing to help.

Certainly knows his subject very well. Will answer any question in any level of detail that you want. I agree that the classes are tough to follow, but that's more the fault of the difficulty of the subject matter than the quality of the instruction.

Lectures teach you nothing, but he takes attendance so you have to go. I only learned from the book. Didn't like how he taught the course at all, and he is a very tough grader on the tests.

You have to read the book, if you just listen the lectures you will have no idea about what's going on.
