Dr. Fielding is very knowledgeable about the subject but may come off a little pretentious about certain topics. Most of his classes are all lectures. One thing I wish he did to help people boost students grades: allow a few more assignments for improvements if people need it. He only gave 3 assignments: Midterm, research paper and final.

His class is all lectures but he will tell you when to write something important down, but write everything down he writes on the board. He loves to answer questions and tell old stories, he is a great professor and made sure everyone felt prepared to take each test by reviewing thouroughly. Take good notes and you will definitely pass this class.

He's a really smart man, his insight and background knowledge really add to the class. His class is all lecture based but as long as you show up regularly and take detailed notes you'll be fine.

I took world civ 1 and 2. The class is easy as long as you show up and take good notes. I did not even buy the textbooks and passed each course with an A. There are 2 tests, before each he goes over what's on it. And one paper. No homework. He goes over the material methodically, the lectures are long but he covers a lot of info quick.

This was my first online class. I found Prof. Fielding to be helpful and very prompt to respond to emails/questions. His style of online teaching was easy to follow and you always knew where you stood in the class and in the process. I would take more classes with this professor.

Fielding was a great professor. He knew the material inside out. His lectures are speckled with bits of humor and his personal insight on the material. He always gives notice when he is sharing an opinion rather than fact. If you take good notes, participate in the Q/A there is no reason not to get a good grade. I would take more classes with him.

This was one of the best professors I've ever had. He was knowledgeable about every level of history. His class was easy if you attended, and you don't need the book if you take good notes. Highly recommend taking a course with him!

i took fielding for world civ 1 and 2 and he was great. mid term a final and one large research paper, i used my book to take notes for classes that i missed, thats it so if u plan on attending every class i wouldnt bother buying a book

I was in the same class as that person who said the professor talked about hip hop. It was a class in World Civ and he was talking about Hippocrates drinking **** to determine a person's illness. You have to discuss Jesus Christ in World Civ. Wonder what that student got for a grade?

THIS guy. have you seen wrong turn? he looks like one of the three "it's". before that class and during all i can think about is HELP ME. this guy gives hour long (or more) lectures..about hip hop drinking pee and our lord jesus christ. need a lesson on religion? read the bible. do not take this guy or youll be screaming REAL.HELP ME! just like me!

He filled in for Dr. Hooper. He was the best professor that I've ever had. We could have all received "W's" for withdrawl in the class, but he added us on to all of his other classes, travelled over 2 hours to get here, and didn't get an increase in pay. I respect him so much for that. He's a great guy, HIGHLY recommended.
