I agree, he's not one of the best teachers I've had by far, but a really nice guy. He can help you with any question you might have. Don't expect to learn much during lecture, but through homework. This class is a very hard class in general. Don't expect to recieve a good grade unless you're willing to put in the time and effort to do so.

He may not exactly be the greatest teachers that I have ever had, but he has got to be one of the nicest. I don’t see how anybody would want to “kick his a$$†and his lisp is barely noticeable. Just read the book and you will do fine. There are plenty of people in the class that have an A.

This is the worst chem teacher i have ever had, i'm still in the course workin on a B, but terrible in all cases. He has the worst lisp so it makes it even harder to understand him. lenient in some cases but doesn't teach and definitely doesn't help. I'd kick his a$$ if i had the chance

This instructor is very hard to follow unless you're a natural at Chemistry. His standard answer when you can't understand something is, "just do the math!" Not helpful at all when it's not the math your having a problem with. Spent most of his lecture scribling formulas on the white board with little explanation.

He is a great teacher for an intro chem class. He teaches the subject so you can understand it and has a good sense of humor. He makes mistakes and is not afraid to admit it. It makes him human. I would recommend taking John. If you show you are trying you will pass the class.

Great Teacher. Teaches because he LIKES to, he doesn't have to. Will give xtra help if needed after class. If you want an A you have to study, but he makes the class interesting. Very funny, dry sense of humor. Very intelligent man.

He's a great teacher! At first I was worried b/c he never taught 142 before but he did a good job and I ended up with an A. He is a really chill, accessible teacher. Even took our class out to eat after the final!

Definatly a good teacher for chemisty. He explains it simply, if not too slowly at times, but if you just pay attention he can be a lot of help. Can joke around, understands that class can be a drag at times, and wants to help you understand. Labs not half bad.

Comment:
Very laid back, willing to explain things if not understood. Easy to contact & responds quickly via email. Interesting w/ occasional laughs. Weekly quizzes, total of 3 Tests (avg. 4 chp./Test) and Multiple choice final. Labs are pretty easy going, he's very helpful during labs. Good teacher.
