Yes,textbooks/online tutorials are used a lot. However,his job is to present you with the means to learn. This he does excellently. Who better to teach you Unreal,for example, than the UE3 creators? It's his ability to provide resources that makes him valuable.Most teachers give you the destination, he gives you the path.He allows independence.
