AVOID AT ALL COSTS - WORSE COURSE EVER TAKEN. I took this class thinking it would be similar to econ 212 but focus on natural resources... i was sadly mistaken. Wish i would have dropped the course. Midterm average was 60. DO not take this class.

Expert in the field, widely cited by all papers in natural resources economics. Has collaborated with countless Nobel laureates. Went to his office hours, and he explained everything that he didn't have time to explain in class, extremely clearly. Material isn't very practical though. Not much more I could ask for from an Artsci Elective.

If you want to do well in ECON 370, do the following: 1. go to class; 2. take notes during class & you don't need to buy the textbook; 3. ask specific questions before exams, i.e. what's going to be covered on exam(s); 4. be extremely careful with grammar. Interesting material with an even more interesting prof. Go to class and you will get an A.

His notes are the best but he follows the textbook fairly well, so if you study the textbook then you'll do fine on the exams. But people usually do really well (high 80s) or really bad (60s). I thought he was helpful and patient when answering my questions.

I would stay away from this class. Low class average, and marks very hard. Likes Urban Econ going into that course, but it was nothing like i thought

His area is Urban Economics - he's pretty good in Resource too. He really can't be bothered in the 110 class. Courses are generally easy, but he is scatter-brained, and does go off topic. However, he knows tons about the subject area he teaches in, and manages to get most of it across. His classes are small - he will notice if you aren't there.

This guy is a natural resources expert, he invented the Hartwick rule! If you take a nat res course, take it from him. A math genius as well.

His lectures aren't helpful at all, he just talks about random stuff the whole time. Doesn't even come close to covering the material on the tests.

It speaks for itself that out of approximately 250 students registered in the course, only about 30 attended classes. Spends more time criticizing the textbook than actually teaching anything. Don't take his classes!

Extremely boring. Didn't bother going to his class much because it didn't help at all. Didn't really teach the course, but specific points of the course. At the beginning there were 250 poeple goign to the class, by the end, maybe 30 max.
