Looks like the poster below is upset that an honors class, gasp, is difficult. It IS a hard class and Larson isn't the clearest professor in lecture. You do have to learn a lot on your own. Larson, however, is a great guy and tries his hardest to help you understand a difficult subject. He is very lenient when grading.

Enjoyable- even if the lectures were a bit dry. Tests really do come straight from the notes (once or twice they were nearly word for word). Maybe not the easiest, but definitely good.

Dr. Larson is not the easiest professor, but he is very helpful when you ask for his assistance! The lab is rather hard; to get a good grade, your experimental result must be very close to the actual result. I would recommend doing all homework that he posts online because it will help you with quizes.

Took him all I could. AWESOME teacher, his notes are organized, and vital. Goto class, take notes, and youll be on easy street. NO surprise sections/questions on tests/lectures. Very helpful, clear, and FUNNY! I've never heard a bad thing about him, unless you don't goto class, LECTURE is key, NOT bookwork! TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!!!!

Dr. Larson is a great professor. He isn't very enthusiastic, but his tests are straight from the notes and his scale is awesome. One of the better teachers in the Chemistry department.

Dr.Larson rocks! He may not have the most lively lectures, but he posts homework online and if you can do that, you can ace the test, and you can't beat his scale. These people who dislike him must be pretty stupid because it takes a lot to fail.

One of the best professors in the department. Not always 100% clear in class, but willing to help you out if you stay afterwards or go to his office. Tests are tough, and comprehensive, but his scale helps you out alot.

Dr. Larson is the best teacher to take for chemistry. His scale rocks, and he has so many exams you can get a good average unlike other evil CHM teachers. And if he assumes you should know a lot already, you should, this is 212, you had to have 211 before it, morons!!

He mummbles and is very unclear on his material. Assumes that you already know alot of material that you probably don't and then doesn't understand why you can't do the problems. Tests are impossible to pass. Take if you want to fail.

Non chem majors beware, the tests are split 60% current material 20% from any other test given, and 20% from chm211. So keeping up with the current material gets you a whopping 60 on the tests. Test questions are vague and badly written. If a chm major you might do OK,but non chm majors steer clear.

His tests come from his notes and homework. If you go to class and do the homework, you should do fine. He has an odd sense of humor. One time he brought liquid N to class and threw it at students feet. It was funny to see their faces when he told them the N would eat their shoes if it touched them.
