Comment:
He's nice and all but he does have a big ego. He brings up traveling to China every chance he can. Expect at least 5 readings per class (usually 10-20 pages each) and quizzes on random details. He also goes off on long tangents and you can't help but zone out. The only thing I learned was what a SWOT Analysis and Gantt Charts are.

John is a great prof, you are quizzed everyday on the assigned reading the night before so be prepared to read anywhere from 15-20 pages of articles, business reviews and a topics ranging from sustainability, leadership etc... He's always available if you have questions or just want to talk but you have to be proactive.

Very smart guy, but an awful teacher. Attendence is not mandatory, however he will know if you are there or not because you have a "quick quiz" everyday. Brutally annoying to listen to for an entire class period. Very cocky and arrogent with his work, I would suggest you stay away from him.

He knows what he is talking about but if you don't like reading then he's not the prof for you. Do all the readings or you will fail the in class quizzes.

It was a fine class. We read a small text book. Keep up with the chapters, because he WILL quiz you on it. He calls it Quick Quiz Questions (QQQ). Pay attention in your Symposium (or FYS) class...you will be writing papers, including atleast one research paper.

I love this man!! He is extremely intelligent and seems very worldly unlike many of these central MN profs that go straight by the textbook w/o experiences to back it up. He is very helpful and is very engaging in conversation.

He is rather unorganized and kind of all over the place. He's nice, but talks over your head often. The work is hard, but all you have is two tests and a project. Overall, I think he is just ok.

John is a nice guy. This class is based on two tests and one project, so the workload is relatively low. Also a very laidback guy, and easy to get along with.
