Most difficult and rigorous course a Chemistry undergrad. Dr. Head's lectures and the text compliment each other well. Struggling through the content helped me learn, and Dr. Head pushes you hard for a good grade. You will have to bust your butt for a good grade, but if you do, you will learn a lot.

Comment:
Very boring lecturer, also has a British accent you have to listen through. Messy penmanship makes it difficult to take notes at times. Exams are difficult, but are curved with partial credit for problems. The examples from class and homework don't really help with the exams, but he tries his best to make pchem less painful.

had dr head for analytical and pchem.very nice guy though his lectures will put u to sleep. can be funny at times.very helpful when you go to see him.tests aren't too bad if you know what he's trying to get at, otherwise exams are quite hard (low avgs).gives partial credit thankfully.pchem is tough but he tried to make it as painless as possible.

Dr. Head is a nice guy, however he's new to teaching Analytical chemistry so his exams are long. There are fair questions on the exam its just that it is extremely long.

He needs to stick to teaching the higher level classes, because he sucks at teaching 161. Has a no homework, no quiz, no ANYTHING policy. Only 100 questions throughout the semester to earn points towards your grade. I'd say just read the book, take notes, and teach yourself for at least a B in this class. Don't need to show up either.
