Professor Hurley is my favorite professor at stonehill. He is unbelievably smart and teaches the material in a way that is both interesting and easy to understand. Class is just lectures from powerpoints, but its important to listen and take notes on what he's saying. Not a lot of work outside of class and tests are easy if you pay attention.

Literally one of the best professors at Stonehill College. The material can be difficult, but if you study and listen in class you'll do fine on the tests. The tests are hard, but fair. Take his class it's SO interesting.

Professor Hurley is really relaxed and understanding. Funny, and tells the best stories. Not only is he easy to listen to for 1.5 hours twice a week, but he is actually really smart. He teaches very well and has a great understanding of psychology. One of the best in the department.

doctor hurley is an amazing professor. he does impressions of psych disorders and tells hilarious stories about his clients which really help in understanding the material. his tests aren't that bad, although he is a hard grader on essay portions. volunteer for the clinical work over writing the research paper, and you'll get an A on the write-up.

I had abnormal, experimental, and seminar with John.. he is a fantasic professor! He is hilarious (especially with his impersonations of patients) - 2 years after I have graduated I still remember specific moments from his classes. I currently teach children with autism and I know for certain that I would not be as good of a behaviorist without having taken his classes (especially experimental). SIGN UP!!

I liked this course becuase he brings real clinical experiences to the lectures. He is a funny guy and really knowledgable. Although i hoped the course would cover some of the more unusual mental illnesses instead of depression, schizophrenia, etc. Also be aware of the 16 hour volunteer component at the veterans hospital for this course.
