Comment:

Doesn't grade homework, tests are hard but impossible to fail because he curves them so much. His grading scale was something like 80-100 A, 60-79 B, and 40-59 C. Its really hard to get anything lower that a C in this class. I hardly ever showed up for class and didnt study much, and I still got a C.

This man is doubtless a talented mathematician, but he is not cut out for teaching. He seems to have had an intuitive grasp of the concepts he's supposed to teach, but this same gift has rendered him incapable of teaching by any route other than the glorious proof. If you're not capable of having theorems spring whole from your head, avoid this pro

If your looking for a class where you don't have to go, and he curves the test 10% points, he's your guy. He is very helpful if you go ask for help, otherwise your screwed. He's to smart, and it makes you feel really stupid, so beware if you just want an easy B.

This guy has no business teaching Differential Equations. When asked to do homework problems on the board, he was never able to do them. He always screwed up grading the tests. Another example of a smart man who has absolutely no ability to teach.

Kauflin isn't very difficult, he doesnt assign mandatory homework and his tests are only 10 problems [6 total]. However, he is very unclear, rambles, and talks to himself a lot. Test problems can range from very easy to extremely hard. Always good for a laugh though.

This guy reminds me of an amish person with his parted hair,gray beard,and hicked up pants.He never talks to the class mostly to himself or the wall.Isnt very helpful with explaining the concepts.I took calc in high school,he just made it more confusing. My 8th grade algebra teacher could do better

i cant complain too much. he may be boring but if you listen you learn, and he always lets us ask questions in class and about homework. not much help outside of class except for his TA. tests are every two weeks, and they are not too hard. he curves them a bit.

This guy is bad.If you want to learn something about calculus that is possibly relevant don't take this class. However, if you want someone who's going to tell stupid jokes and make you laugh just by looking at him.Go ahead and take him.I will never take him again though

Wow. This guy is terrible and as far as teachers go he's one of the worst I have had. He is very unclear and doesn't explain things at all. He scribbles on the board an expects you to know what your talking about. Not helpful. Avoid this guy if possible.

If you ask questions in class, when he finishes and asks if that helps, you can honestly look at all the scribble on the board and be like "No, absolutely not." Outside classroom help? He'll say he has no more time. Good luck if you get him, but if you have a choice... stay very far away.

Everyday with the parted hair and the highwaters, he comes in spewing verbage at the class, with no reguard as to whether or not they are comprehending any of it. ...tests were graded very randomly...deducting points even if the answersare right and he didn't the work. Good luck folks.

He isn't the best teacher, but he is very entertaining. Count the number of times his voice dramatically changes or he laughs to himself to keep yourself entertained. He has a strange sense of humor and loves it when you laugh at his dumb jokes.

HE is more concerned about giving the proof for equations and for theories. His test are hard, and he is hard to fallow during class. The one great thing about his class is he is an easy teacher that has a big curve!
