He is the best option for accounting. He tries to really hard to make everyone to pass his class. He is very sweet. Also Lacey is very smart. He seems inspired every time he lectures. Get ready to read. You won't pass if you don't take this class seriously and everything is on the book!

YOU HAVE TO READ!!! He lectures basing it that everyone has previewed the chapter before coming. tells a lot of his real world stories that help you remember. Curves the tests because everyone bombs them because they don't read; so read-welcome to college. Really helpful in office hours too. REALLY passionate about accounting!

Lacey likes to talk about himself and his experiences so lectures can be a little boring. Does I-clicker questions so you should show up. Learned from the book more than in class so definitely rent the book but he does do examples you just have to follow along. Homework is online- Wiley-plus. Exams aren't too hard and he curves them.

Took ACCT201 as an honors course so it wasn't a lecture class. He cares a lot about his students but sometimes gets off track. You can turn in homework on paper or wileyplus. Buying the e-book is essential to do homework. There is a group project at the end of the semester but overall he is an easy grader and knows his stuff.

such a sweet professor and wants you to be successful. accounting is a tough subject and doesn't come easily to everyone, you'll obviously have to work for good grades on the tests. he grades homework on effort, not correctness so just make it look like you tried. recommend the S/I, it helps a ton.

let's be real. Accounting is hard but Lacey is the best accounting teacher on campus. He made the class bearable and he's so sweet I wanted to do the work so I wouldn't let him down. Don't get me wrong this class is hard, but with any other teacher I probably would have failed, with him, I'll get a b or a c. If I studied even more, probably an a.

Prof. Lacey seems like an interesting individual who's passionate about his career as an accountant. But for me, he's the reason why I'm 100% certain that I won't go into accounting. If you do choose this class, the best advice I can give you is that you be serious when reading the assigned chapters before his lectures and study hard for his exams.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Approachable, kind, and inspirational - but he's not for everyone. Exams are long, and doing additional practice problems outside of hw/lecture examples is a MUST to get an A. If you're really strong with core Financial ACCT material (or love accounting) TAKE HIM; if you aren't, get ready to study hard.

Lacey is too smart for his own good. He is a very accomplished accountant, however, he is not the best professor. He talks about topics with the assumption that you already know the language of accounting. You will definitely need to do the reading to get context for his lectures. His tests are difficult and he makes you work hard for the grade.

1 hw assignment due every week. 3 exams. Dr. Lacey is a very nice man who truly cares about his students and is helpful when needed but doesn't do all that much teaching. His lectures don't help too much and I would say 80% of things are self taught from the readings. If you don't read, it is very hard to pass.

Nice guy who knows his stuff. But lectures are not that helpful. You NEED to read the book and do the HW to do well. Make an effort to read the book, pay attention when he reviews the HW. Tests and overall grade are curved. Tests 90%, HW 10% of grade. Easy to fall behind so be smart. Easy to pass, but hard to get an A, and B is no piece of cake.

Lacey is the sweetest guy but he goes too in depth. If you don't read throughly and do extra hw problems for your own understanding, expect to drop. If you want clarification sign up for him, but if you want hands on learning, don't take him.

He is a very sweet professor. really wants you to do well and offers a lot of help. HW are easy point and he doesn't require you purchase wileyplus. I didn't get much from his lectures but as long as you read the chapters you're good. tests are multiple choice and curved.

Dr. Lacey is an awesome and helpful professor. His grading is fair and his lectures and good. You will need your book!! Apply time to this class and you'll pass with an A or B. Plus, he Is also very knowledgeable in Accounting and can help you in your career. He really cares about his students succeeding in life. I would take him again.

Class consists of 3 exams (2 midterms, 1 final) and homework. Dr. Lacey is extremely knowledgable. I found his lectures to be interesting, but not very helpful with homework. He recommends you do the Wiley questions, do them they help. Overall this class was interesting, but you will spend a lot of time teaching the material to yourself.

Do the wiley questions that he recommends, it really helps. Just read the book and listen in on the lectures for snippets of information you need to know for the exam. I thought his class was interesting and fun to learn in.
